What is the best space bar to match the Poker II keys? I want to memorize the key caps before I change them and I do not like the default space bar, so I was wondering if you Poker II owners could suggest a space bar that matches it in profile and color the best. Thanks!

WOW! Did you need to desolder the gaps? 3 mm leds fit in nicely? Do you need to solder the leds again after installing? :) I want to do it too!

The pads needs to be desoldered.
With the right tools, like a temperature controlled iron, desoldering is pretty quick

I have a 35W soldering iron. I think it could be okay with desoldering wire.
But have you soldered again after installing or the leds fit tight enough to stand alone?

Well I did mention to you specifically that you need to desolder the LED pads first. It's prefilled with solder and there's no way you can install the LED without removing the old solder. And you obviously have to solder it back again to get good contact.

Only 3mm or T1 size LEDs will fit.

Yeah, the unfortunate thing is that the Qtan solution means i pay about 20 dollars more than mechkeyboards.

Assuming MK.com charges 8% tax, $110*1.08=118.8.

You're paying 118.8-111.99=$6.81 more.

Now you have no excuse but to buy one! You won't regret it.

Ahhh ... the Christmas look ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Is it maybe just an anti-scratch tape sort of thing? Can you peel it off? I never heard of faked Pokers so I doubt that, rather a production error. Where did you buy it from?

I really want to buy a poker 2 but the release date on Mechanicalkeyboards.com keeps getting pushed back. About to go just buy one from Ebay :/

Highly recommended seller, even from China. I ordered last Thursday and got my board today!

I have bought a lot of items from qtan and have received nothing but excellent prompt service.
I would also highly recommend him.

Yeah, the unfortunate thing is that the Qtan solution means i pay about 20 dollars more than mechkeyboards.

I just ordered a Poker II from him because of his excellent customer service. I contacted mechkeyboards.com a couple times just asking a question or two, and never got a response. I was getting frustrated with the dates being pushed back, and then I found qtan's site. I sent him an email and he quickly replied back (even though he's on vacation atm) with detailed answers to each one of my questions. I was really shocked that he took the time to help me like he did. Because of that, I ordered one right away.

Another big thing is that you're honestly paying very similar prices to ebay and mechkeyboards.com as you do with qtan (my poker was like two dollars more from qtan than what they have listed on mechkeyboards.com), and I really think that you'll get it faster from him than you will from somebody in the US. Now I just can't wait for it to get here.

Looking at this thread makes me not regret and makes me excited to receive my Poker X that I got for $100 total with MX Red switches. I have a nice set of KBC Blank Black PBT keycaps waiting here for it with a red blank from a WASDkeyboard sampler kit to put on my keyboard. I just wish I had enough money to get an aluminum case from IMSTO cause that would complete it.

Where did you get the blank PBT caps? GB?

And I also want an alu case but they're so expensive. Basically anything I want to upgrade on my keyboard costs me $100+

Is that a Poker 2 ?
I kinda understand why you would change the spacebar  :p

Yep.

Actually I'm modding my QFR and I don't want to spoil my PBT caps.
