I'll wait on judgment until we all get them in hand first, epbt BoW is still fresh in mind.

Meaning?

BoW was like super white, making it look more artificial than natural (imo kinda like E-white vs. MAO)
I’m with wixxzblu in waiting for samples

What I'm trying to say is that BoW was a new color for epbt/gateron, and the legends suffered in the process. Not saying the same thing will happen with this, but after BoW, I've been extremely weary of epbt sets. I think BoW also had a lot of warping issues.

Edit: nomad kit is missing R3 1.25 tab

hey biip, can you confirm that the koala switch is supposed to be 5g less in bottoming pressure vs the stock t1 and that there are no other differences? if so, i might have to buy a bunch :)

Am I seeing right that these come with scoops along with the bars? I haven't seen epbt that has had them so I am wondering if this is the case. Instant buy if so. I am a mega fan of scoop homing.

yeah, 62g instead of 67g. And an opaque housing which will result by a deeper sound. :thumb:

usually you get charged for the item at the end of the buy period, and then charged for shipping when it ships

Getting charged for shipping is more a keyboard kit thing. I've never seen vendors charging for shipping later on when it comes to keycaps.

Quote
KBDfans Discord confirmed that it's a recolored POM T1 stem with a nylon bottom housing and a lighter spring, nothing else. So pretty much a recolored 62g T1.

I'm interested to hear a sane of a lubed Koala, but I think I might get some either way. The T1s are a pretty fair price, and the nylon housing will allow for a deeper sound which is my kinda acoustic.

GB page just states "June". Looks like caps will be fulfilled a few months after, so make sure you specify that you'd like them shipped separately if you bought them together.

Yeah, will do that.

Just wanted to make sure that switches arrive before think 6.5 ;)

Would be sad to have a keeb and wait for switches.

Does this mean Koala is cancelled too? I plan to get into the GB next week, so it'd be good to know if should still add them into the cart or it's pointless now

From the looks of it it seems like Koalas are going forward.... but that can be for different factors such as:

1. they are different composite i.e. not clear
2. they have a different spring

So either the leaf or the stem (maybe both) has been modified or the stem to prevent return issues that t1 and holy pandas have had with lighter springs.

Let's wait until the dust settles to get a clear view of what is happening.

Any update on the Koalas MOQ? Curious, given the Stealios drama. Does the lack of T1 availability mean that more people will buy Koalas?

Per the KBDFans Discord, no - not cancelled.

Someone apparently went up to the great philosopher Wittgenstein and said "What a lot of morons people back in the Middle Ages must have been to have looked, every morning, at the dawn and to have thought what they were seeing was the Sun going around the Earth, when every school kid knows that the Earth goes around the Sun", to which Wittgenstein replied "Yeah, but I wonder what it would have looked like if the Sun had been going around the Earth?"

I was wondering whether the J keys in the Nav Kit have homing bars similar to other vim key kits?
Personally I feel the nav keys would be of more utility if the J keys included a homing bar as it would not infringe on my ability to touch type.

Don't know if it's too late to make such a change, I'm new to this whole Keyboard Community. But absolutely love this keyset and was planning for it to be my first keyset.
