It is that time to begin looking at getting Round 3 going. I am starting to work on forumating the new kits right now, essentially adding the keys to cover the new layouts that have gotten more popular since the last run. I will be probably be including all novelties from round 2, and certainly look into adding some new ones as well.

I've also been working on adding a few new colors and brand new kits to the mix, I hope to have those ready and rendered sooner than later to show and see what everyone thinks about them. I'd like this to be the biggest and most unique run thus far!

I would like to get feedback specifically on these points:

Ergo Kit - For ErgoDox/Atreus - Legends or no legends?
Ortho Kit - Legends or no legends?

Group Buy Plans

For Jukebox: Round 3 I still plan on letting Massdrop running the buy. I will try to schedule with Massdrop for the buy to happen within 2-3 months after kits are solidified, if not sooner. I will update the schedule accordingly when I find out more concrete dates.

In general, I will try to make as many folks as possible happy this time around and be slighly less worries with pricing than with the past 2 runs. The community has grown a lot in the past 2 years since round2 and I'm sure we can still bring the price to a reasonable level even with further additions to some kits and extra/extended colorways. I'm going to be here listening to suggestions for a bit and then will try to include those in the initial kit renders in a week or so. Don't hesitate to throw around any ideas you may have!

I’d like to see a comeback of the starburst novelty and also some various sized space keys. Like 1.75, 2, 2.25, 2.75.

Yeah the space keys will certainly happen either via a bars set or the 40 set, whichever makes the most sense.

Could you please clarify, did they not add Shifts in correct profiles by now? I have Carbon SA Round 2 and both Shifts look R4 (big one and tiny ISO one).

Honestly, I credit Jukebox and Pulse for getting me this deep into the hobby. I watched those two group buys pass and I regretted it so much.

Nice to hear it will get back! Love the retro theme. The Jukebox Round 2 is usually my daily driver, even though I have more than a dozen keycap sets. Very interested in new colors/kits.

For the Ergodox/Atreus kit, I prefer to a legended one if it has legends special to the theme, like what's in SA Oblivion, or a blank one rather than some normal modifiers legends like "CAPS LOCK", "{[", etc. With the normal mod legends, it's hard to match my volatile keymaps. But with special legends, it works as the same as blank one in function but it looks better with some legends rather than blank.

Some bad ideas maybe but a upright slap bass/guitar (like Gretsch 56/57 ?) v8 legends on/for the Crtl, Win, Alt and FN/Menu caps row/for the F keys row.

Wish there would be space bars in VCO(6.25u+7u) and RN(7u).
Also looking forward to 1.5u ctrl and alt and 1.75u capslock in RN.

This! I tend to buy more than one set of novelties since they are good fillers for my weird layouts. I can only hope there will be a variety of coverage for the rows. That would be nice and add more flexibility.

Just adding my vote as well. This is essentially my end game set. It's beyond art.

So +1 for nordic, 40% with legends (look at DSA Scientific for inspiration with their 40s kit or SA Leviathan).

Same, curse myself everytime when I see this set. only went for alphas, novelties and planck in R1. Need TKL + Numpad. Alpha colours on this set is sublime, best that I have seen. I hope we can get TKL in same scheme but it may be a stretch. Desperately waiting for this drop to happen.

Shame, I was really hoping for a chance at a version with proper 1800 support, especially for the numpad since I'm a weirdo that uses 1800 numpad. I'm a sucker for the colorway but the lack of layout support makes it hard to use, which is why my R2 set has been in storage for so long.

From chatting with livingspeedbump on Instagram it sounds like responsibility for this to run has been passed on to Signature Plastics.

The files were sent to Melissa over there so hopefully they’ll run it on PMK some day!

That’s good to know. Now if people can reach out to PMK by email, and messaging their Facebook to show interest, then maybe they can make a run like they did with SA 1976. This will be nice so that people won’t have to stress and can buy necessary kits at convenient times. Sounds like Living has been busy traveling national parks as I subscribe to his Instagram.

Hmm, based on their prices for in-stock sets that could be nice. or it could be like it is with those sets that it's pricey now and later after you've bought it they're 40% off. Here's to hoping the layout support is correct this time, swirls are few, and I'm patient enough to wait for the good prices to happen.

+1 for this! Part of the point of ergo is to be able to have keys where you want them, so being forced to use normal legends, especially when you don't have it on the same row, doesn't always work out. And blank keycaps are never fun compared to themed symbols or themed legends

A good example of this is DSA Magic Girl & DSA Astrolokeys!

I did tell Melissa to make the set, keep the profits and use them to take out her husband and kid to make up for draging them out to the Seattle meetup a while back

) But for real, I've not forgotten this set, just finding a way to run it with an appropriate ammount of involvement and working with others to get it done.
