Would it be possible to separate the geekhack keys into another thread and do an interest check on that alone, after batmann has made new mock ups and all of that?

I would be interested in it but it seems to be something that would be better off as its own thing, instead of getting mixed up in the Breaking Bad set, which most people seem to be interested in and appears to be ready to move on to the next stage of the GB.

As for the Ha element, it's Hahnium if my sources are correct http://www.ccnr.org/periodic_table.html
I don't know the whole history but it is a fairly recent element if I understood correctly

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubnium#Naming_controversy :)

Good enough for me :)

^This.  I really couldn't put it into words, but that's exactly what I was thinking.  The Ge/Ha key might be better suited for another GB, not this one.  It's interfering with the whole Breaking Bad theme just a little bit...

That being said, I still do like the idea behind the Ge/Ha cap, and if Batmann doesn't want to make a separate GB for them and would rather keep them in this set, I guess I'd be fine with that too...

I didn't planed it alone Computer-Lab, this idea has been brought by tjcaustin and Xerobasix and backed up by i3oilermaker and myself.
The signature is an important part imo, without this community these project wouldn't be possible for the majority of us.
I understand your concern about the cost and your words will surely count in the final decision.
Let's just see how it could possibly look like and we'll decide then.

Lol forget what I said... after looking back on it I think it's a pretty damn good idea.  I like the whole molecule polygon idea behind it too.

Is there anything personnal behind that sarcastic comment?

No, nor was there any sarcasm behind it either... I truly had to look back at your design, and upon doing so I changed my mind.

SP has not yet molded the Blue Clear cap, but I have some pictures of samples in other colors.  This should give us an idea of what it will look like:

Thanks for those pics i3, those are not too bad... but with those examples, I'm assuming we can expect it to be more of a dark blue?  And it most likely won't have as much of a cloudy/icy effect?

Well, we'll have to wait and see I guess...

The reason why I'd mentioned doing something geekhack related to was to tie into someone wanting to do the full periodic table.  I had thought a Ge and H or Ha done in the same style would give it a bit of geekhack flair without it adding too much more effort.  Batmann had decided to make it a molecule (which isn't a problem, just not what I'd meant).

What I had meant was essentially doing the same cap as for Br and Ba but with the other two elements instead.  That wouldn't add too much to the overall fussiness of the group buy and as I mentioned, add a bit of geekhack specifics to the fun.

Additionally, while I agree this is a tremendously ruinous habit to have acquired (I just bought my 4th keyboard with that ducky GB), I find the irony of using a forum where we all have to type out our thoughts and feelings about it to be amusing.  Nevermind the fact that it's even more of an excuse to type and hear myself pretend to be productive as my keyboard clacks away.

I already talked to Batmann about this, and am fully willing to accommodate the Ge/Ha key into this GB.

There may be a way to make the finished product have a nice haze to it by using acetone or various sandpapers but I would have to experiment to get the practice perfect.

Clear like glass in the trays. Cloudy blue when broken up and in its final form for sale. I like to think we are buying the final product broken into little bits for us junkies.  Like in the picture I attached above the quote.

These sound like they're going to look amazing! Love the series.

Put me down for a set. Assuming "a set" includes Br, Ba and 4 crystals (as proposed in the OP to fill the Insert>PgDn cluster). If a GeekHack key is indeed made following the theme, I'd probably take one of those too.

My signature hasn't changed since 2012. I should really update it.

Is it okay to put down a small order, then increase it later when things are getting confirmed?

Here are my ultimate updates on this project.
4 different setups

Row 1 and 2 without sig

Row 1 and 2 with sig

Alll top row without sig

All top row with sig

I personnally prefer the second one.
I have no problem with making another GB for GeekHack keys if you guys don't want it in this set.
My part of the work is over, I'll be checking around for updates on distribution and organisation things.
I trust i3oilermaker and Clib with the rest of the mission,
Can't wait to have them sitting on my freshly ordered Poker!  :D

BTW, I'm in for 2 sets of element key (with or without sig) and 10 cristals (I'm afraid some of them will be butchered on the altar of the keyboard science!)
