You haven't taken anyone's money yet. You should revise the int'l shipping rate and send the invoices with the revised rate and a note explaining the issue. Those who pay get their caps, those who don't, don't.

Or would it make sense to ship in bulk to an overseas proxy who can divvy it up and ship them out from there?

Nah - I don't want to stick people with a bigger bill than they were expecting and I don't like the idea of an overseas proxy because I want to make sure these make it out ASAP - maybe I'm too much of a control freak.

I shouldn't be out that much - just thinking of it as TechKeys giving back :)

Maybe I'll make a few extras for TechKeys for those who missed out.

If you're ok with it I'd be more than willing to at least cover any losses from my order because the sadsters would be posted to me all the way to Australia.

Just doesn't feel right if you're actually losing money on this.  :(

THis would be the first GB closed because too many orders!

Dude, this is an old-school group buy. Revising prices due to unforeseen costs is part of the experience!

Mind upping my order by 10  :p As we smashed the last price tier

Unless you're avoiding taking orders now ofc. If you're losing money you should probably revise intl shipping costs, I don't mind paying a little extra - but I won't complain if you keep it at $7 ;)

I going to say this once and only once.

The answer to "Why did I not get an invoice?" is because I have not sent it yet.

Check OP if your name has nothing next to it, it means I have not gotten to you yet.  First in First Out

It is so nice to see your name in the OP.  Even nicer when it is updated to "paid".

Somehow it seems more comforting than a Google spreadsheet.

All that is left to do now is wonder...... will there be a hapster V2 GB sometime in the not to distant future?

As I understand it, there was never a Hapster V1 GB.  A corresponding Hapster GB would be nice though, I have only 4 or so :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
