Man, you had to zoom in on that hair in my photo, didn't you? :-[
I get your disappointment. Personally, I can live with the difference but that doesn't mean we shouldn't point it out. After all, WYSIWIG is why we accept the delay added by the colour matching process in the first place.
pool:
Just received mine.
I have to say, the colors are much more saturated than the renders suggest. It should be like half a shade less saturated. Definitely slightly disappointed.

You can return them.
like wtf? Duties, marketprice, shipping fees back and 3% restock fee, and they can just sell as extras... ok budyy.
I don't think we should let this fly?
When did this become a thing? I thought GMK was so good, I heard in the past they would send out re-dos of certain keys that were really off.
The original colors look very luxury, nice. Which is why I pulled the trigger. Now it looks like some cheap ass Chinese set.
I even got two sets cuz I thought this was gonna be one I was going to use for the rest of my life cuz I fell in love with it.
I've bought 3 really expensive group buys in colors specifically to match their renders which used these original colors. (onyx in silver, portal in silver, 7v in navy). Like this is ****ed.
Omnitype was behind the 80082 one as well weren't they.
Edit: looking it into it further people's pictures of the keyset with the deskmat, it doesn't even match the deskmat green lol with the 3 circles.
It doesn't match the rama cap either.
also the HK gaming copy of this actually looks closer to the original (edit: on the mods). my god.
8008, dracula, now this. Omnitype... this is just outrageous
so pissed

I’m sorry, but you bought into three keyboards for this one colorway?
Can’t you just… put other keys on those nice boards? Or replace the mods with Mr Sleeves?
Gmk uses spectrometers to get near perfect color matching, to the point where they’ll ask you to pick a new color code if it doesn’t match (iirc). Not sure if I’d throw shade at them. Edit: Ignore me spreading misinformation
If anything, the renders are at fault. Even still, I dunno if the outrage is necessarily warranted.
If you’re risk averse when it comes to GBs, buy things aftermarket or avoid first round GBs.

Sounds like you got your information from GMK Rainy Day post, but haven't read through whole thread :) They don't use spectrometer. It is up to the designer/vendor to match the colors. That is why people get multiple samples, trying to find one that is matching closest to their desired color.

You're totally right -- I stand corrected. In that case, pitchforks and torches! \s
