The Big Screen PBT






Inspired by eras without mobile phones and social media, The Big Screen PBT’s ethos is about making the best experience with what we have.  It features all things horror, giallo, skate culture— and of course, the emergence of 3D media with classic red and cyan 3D glasses.

The Big Screen PBT is designed to be a functioning 3D keycap set with the use of red and cyan 3D glasses, and we intend to include a pair with every base kit.

04/02/2021: Mike from NK wrote back and has given his blessing for this project to continue!  (Thanks mate!)  With that said, I may be prioritizing aesthetic over function for The Big Screen as PBT Anaglyph will also work with 3D glasses.  Who knew that the community could get a pair of 3D glasses and use it for more than one keyset.  We are in truly magical times here.  Also trying to figure out what's the best way to provide updates.  I would ideally like to just do everything on Geekhack but some Redditors seemed to want a Discord... 04/01/2021: Posted the Interest Check and yay y'all dig this set I'm serious about making!... But I just received a message on Discord showing NK's teaser video for PBT Anaglpyh.  Just want to advise now that I had no idea that NK had an anaglyph set in the works.  (Funny too because the working title for this set was Anaglyph PBT.)  This goes without saying that I am devastated as I had finally gathered the courage to share my idea and I am worried that people will assume this concept is lifted.  I promise that I've been working on this set for quite some time, just was a coward to share it.  I am currently trying to reach out to Mike at NK, I've sent him a friend request on Discord and reached out to the NK contact form.

no harm in hitting up epbt about it, they seem to be very approachable with working with them, and generally do a great job
there shouldn't be any issue getting some samples during/before the buy to make sure it turns out exactly how you want

Thank you! Doing research on anaglyphs and stereoscopic imagery has been pretty fun, I know there are books that use red and green glasses too! the choices....

As someone who uses DSA on an ergo layout, I could only wish that I could have it on my board lolol but I just want to see this set come to life, so I am willing to do whatever profile is the most favored. (Gotta add that to the Interest and Feedback form, thanks for bringing that up!!)

Thank you!  Will be working through the month to make this happen!  The old used 3D book should be arriving next week and I'll be able to Pantone match. Also please fill out the interest and feedback form, just added a section for preferred profile so hopefully it's not too divided

I believe it's doable with dye sublimation! (Sort of why I opted for dye sub PBT, no doubleshot either because the novelties are some pretty detailed work that may need revision hope not tho)

Postscript: I read your post on Reddit and somehow missed earlier that this is a set you've already put a great deal of time into. So I'm no less impressed and my brain rests a little easier knowing you didn't just knock this out on a whim one evening and came up with something this good.
