I prepaid for shipping on Saturday and dropped the package off today at 10:08am. I've never prepaid before through ebay, and now I'm not getting updates. Something else I shipped that I paid for right there at the post office is getting tracking updates. Does this happen often with prepaid stickers?

It can (I always prepay). I wouldn't sweat it, it should update before midnight with all of the processing tracking. If not, wait a couple days and see if it updates in the morning when it's due to arrive in the receiver's processing hub. If you don't see it by then, it still might not show up at all until it's actually delivered (happened to me before, can happen when the tracking bar code has issues/USPS is sucking).
