Hello everyone, I am coming to bring you our latest product—EVA Aluminum CNC Keycaps.

The weight of single keycap is similar to 1.5mm PBT keycap.
The dimension of the keycaps was designed to protect the switch.

Any chance for normal 1.75u and 2u Shift keys? It can look jarring having to use novelty keys in place of the usual modifer when keeping the look simple

I can't help but notice that your kit images have green and purple legends while the "see what you get" product images have white legends (machined aluminum).

$500 plus shipping and you still don't get a 1.75u shift. That's a hard pass from me.

In the $500 kit there is 1.75 key tho, but i kinda agree, it should have a 1.75u keycap with the shift icon and legend.

Interested for sure. The price is a bit steep however it is understood.

I suggest adjusting the green you use as it is far too "metallic" and does not match the green used in the actual design as well as it could when being so dramatic against the purple. You need something to darken the caps. Either more laser engraving or the use of black lettering to help subdue the clash between the green and purple. Using black keycaps or accents will help the product feel more complete.

What I would do is use black keycaps instead of the green and use that same green to fill in the characters/letters while having some keycaps with larger designs to help bring the green out more as it is very relevant. Red elements could be implemented on the keys in the corners or the "window" key.

It is based on the extremely popular anime Neon Genesis: Evangelion and the main characters mecha known as EVA-01. Why this was the keycap scheme chosen to be the metal set is the designers choice. If you ask me this is the greatest anime ever made and something collectors would die for. That being said there is even an officially licensed Neon Genesis Bullet Train in Japan and even canned bread. So keycaps are a tame inspiration considering this also is possibly the most marketed show in existence aside from Star Wars.

Maybe so, but the reason for this being so expensive is that they are aluminium. Why combine that with such a specific color scheme. Even Star Wars is just a niche option for keyboards.

Clickies are hugely popular in China, which looks like is where OP is from.

When I got to internet cafes (which are also huge) to play PUBG, the mechanical keyboards there are almost exclusively clickies.
