I've been reading up on how Das Keyboard changed their manufacturer a few years ago from Costar to an unknown Chinese manufacturer with the release of their professional version that has media keys. My question is, does anyone actually have both versions? I read about how the quality is potentially worse with the newer boards but I've yet to see any solid proof. I myself am using the new version and I have to say it's the best mechanical keyboard I've had the pleasure of typing on - granted, my experience is limited to a few CM and corsair boards. It has a solid build quality, the switches are fully functioning after a year+ of regular use many hours a day, and its just had very consistent performance overall. What I'm trying to say is, are the boards made in China physically worse than the Costar versions or does the manufacturer change have no effect on the quality of the keyboard?
