Is anyone planning to buy the specialty kit and don't need the 1.25u blue shift and the 1.75u brown shift?  I am struggling with spending $48 for only two keys.  :(

Question:  What is the purpose of the 1u brown DEL key in the Specialty Kit?

It sure does....not sure what I was thinking there, but I don't think that added much to the cost...the 1u keys are cheap.

No worries man.

What do you think the odds are that Melissa will sell me some 2u blanks in OB after the run?  I need 3 to fill out my Atomic and I don't want to buy the whole ErgoDox kit to get them.

Damn that site is crap! Kept empty the cart and logging me out everytime I click on another item... finally managed to get it done after much perseverance.
Stuff added up real fast...

1976, Winkeyless Kit, German Nordic and S. Slavic ISO Kit, Color Kit, Arrows Kit... currently at $177
I sure hope lots more people get on this so it gets cheaper.

Lots of big keys (big = expensive), low MOQ.  Edit:  Plus the entire kit is custom legends.  $$$

Get more people to buy it so we can all save some money.  The first big price break is at 50 units.

Which special key? The custom 1976 logo key is part of the several sets.

Total flashback!! Grew up in CT where Caldor was the only discount store in my area.

That color gradient was everywhere in the 70's...that's what makes it so perfect for this kit...kind of like this van

It looks as though people who are browsing without being logged in to PMK may not be able to see 1976 at all! :(  If I am not logged in, I can only get to it by clicking the direct link in this thread.

IDK if this has already been addressed! just wanted to mention it in case it hasn't.

hmm yeah. i'll think about it. it seems a bit steep for me even at $44 since i only need a couple of keys from the set.

In hindsight, I should have reduced the number of keys in the slang kit and added more 1u keys. That would have reduced the price quite a bit.

You certainly didn't have to put 'Nanu Nanu' and 'Burn' in that set, I do appreciate it, and I do plan to buy a set, however.

I would pay $122 plus shipping to get the keys I'd need, that is an offer hard to get. It was not the best time for the set. I really hope it makes it.  :-X

Error in their system. It should be corrected at some point. Not sure what they will do with the existing orders.

No doubt! I always go to check out the new group buys on my phone. I've come to accept that their mobile site is useless.

I'm super conflicted about this set. Really dislike SA, but this is one of the sweetest colorways ever! Going to think on it for a bit!

There are just too many keycap-GBs now. Fear competition and fixed prices will make difficult for them to reach MoQs.

The spacebar is the correct length, but unfortunately, Leopold uses a non standard spacebar mount spacing so most custom keycap kits will not fit, including this one. It can be modded to fit, but its not a simple mod.

I have a plan in mind to rectify that by making my own stems. Thank goodness for the uPrint.

I would like to purchase a extra spacebar or two for my Leopold but I don't see the correct size available. I only found the 4, 6.25, and 7 inch spacebars. Are there plans in future sets to use universal spacebars or is that not available/viable through the manufacturer?

I'm fairly sure that SP uses the six stem positions on most, if not all, of their 6.25-unit spacebars now. Even for SA, if I'm not mistaken. Those have stem positions for the Leopold FC200R.

Keycap sizes are usually shown in multiples of the key spacing, so 1x means 0.75". So the 6.25x spacebar size is the correct one for your Leopold and as jdcarpe mentioned, SP use universal, 6 stem spacebar molds for SA profile spacebars (I have a few SA sets).

90312-0

So the set will fit your keyboard without any modifications.

Not Oobly, but I can answer.

It fits the FC200R. And FC750R, of course. No others that I know of.

Oobly: Are you sure SA space bar fits Leopolds?

Not Oobly, but I can answer.

It fits the FC200R. And FC750R, of course. No others that I know of.

I can confirm as well. Just tried the SA 6.25u spacebar that came with the Nuclear Data Green set on my FC200R and it fits.

Thank you. As you know Leopold has the wrong approach on designing non standard positions for the space bar stems. In particular the FC660 has an space bar with weird locations.

Keycap sizes are usually shown in multiples of the key spacing, so 1x means 0.75". So the 6.25x spacebar size is the correct one for your Leopold and as jdcarpe mentioned, SP use universal, 6 stem spacebar molds for SA profile spacebars (I have a few SA sets).

(Attachment Link)

So the set will fit your keyboard without any modifications.

I have a Leopold FC200RT. The space bar is 4.625". Is there any chance that there will be a spacebar that will be compatible? Thanks!

I'm fairly sure that SP uses the six stem positions on most, if not all, of their 6.25-unit spacebars now. Even for SA, if I'm not mistaken. Those have stem positions for the Leopold FC200R.

Thank you both for the information!

Just a couple things to note:

The blank homing keys show a brown deep dish that also has a bump. I doubt they actually have a mold for this, but I thought I should mention it.

I would have thought that the 5 on the number pads would be a homing key, but I suppose it is too late to bring this up.

Also, I think you should add a picture, if you can, of the blank keys so that people can keep the color codes straight and know what they are buying.

I am so excited that these are finally available, and so shocked, that I am committing to spending over $300 on keycaps.  :'(

Yes, the homing key is a mistake.....there are a couple mistakes that I have submitted that I am waiting to be corrected. I did have pictures if the blanks, but they didn't get posted....not sure why.

Bump on the numpad is a good idea, I will see if I can get that added without a price change.

Thanks for the support, and thanks for inspiring this set with your original posting of the 1976 image. The wallet hack is on!!

OK forgive the retardation here, but I don't see how to 'log in' on the pimpmykeyboard site. How to do this?
