OK forgive the retardation here, but I don't see how to 'log in' on the pimpmykeyboard site. How to do this?

If you haven't registered yet, you'll have to click register.

It's important to note that your KEY SHOP account is separate from your PMK account.  I don't know why they did this but you have to register twice; once on http://keyshop.pimpmykeyboard.com/ and once on http://www.pimpmykeyboard.com/ (this is where Group Buys live).  The two shopping systems are completely separate.  So if you've ever bought stuff from the Key Shop you have to re-register to participate in Group Buys.  I found this out the hard way.

OK so I registered and I'm logged in. But I can't see anything except the $74 1976 group buy (no child deals, etc.).

Am I missing something?

OK so I think I could buy any of the kits now. But I can't see what's in the base kit. Is it identical to the base kit in "potential kits" of the OP?

Is there a wiki somewhere to tell me what size keys will fit on a poker 2? (Mine's coming from massdrop.)

I'm specifically looking for what (eg. 2.25 u) and where (eg. Right shift).

Thanks for all the help so far!

The poker 2 uses standard key cap sizes, so you should only need the base tenkeyless kit, which is the main/parent deal that costs $74.

The right shift on a Poker is an standard 2.75u key cap.

The manufacturer doesn't have molds for a 3u spacebar. 4u, 6.25u and 7u are available.

Hey, how about buying a REAL keyboard (TKL, 104 or 1800) instead of that kind of joke, pretending to be a keyboard  :)) .

PMK should really have a button for "I'll buy this if it enters into ___ price tier." In some cases, it might make enough people join in that it could automatically add them in order to push it to that price tier. Even though it is just a difference of $15 bucks, I bet a lot of people would join group buys for $60 who wouldn't join for $75. Well, I guess even $60 is a lot to spend on a bag of plastic these days, so I guess you're either in it or not.

I'm starting to get nervous about this set. It doesn't seem like many people are in it yet  :-[ Colemak, among other items, is in danger of not tipping.

RE: ErgoDox kit

Have you happened to confirm with SP that the legends can be oriented "vertically" on the 1.5u and 2u mod keys?  The last time this came up we were told by SP that they could only do doubleshot legends parallel to the longest side, which would cause them to be rotated 90 degrees for the 2u and some of the 1.5u keys.  It has been a while so that may have changed.  Just wondering.

This didn't really apply to Granite R2 (Ergodoxian kit) because those caps were dye sublimated.  I think Deep Space was the last GB to run with a legended ErgoDox kit but I never heard if they got any confirmation from SP on this issue.

I have not...I will check into that, I blindly assumed that was possible. Thanks for posing the question.

Was the ability to doubleshot these ergo modifiers 90deg confirmed?  I assuming so since this deal got posted after this question got asked initially...

Thanks for taking the time to organize this!

In the colemak kit on PMK, it shows three 'N' homing keys and one 'T'.  Is this a error?  Should the yellow raised dot 'N' really be a yellow raised dot 'T'?   What will I actually receive?

Thanks,
Rick

Uhoh, that does indeed look like an error. Considering PMK's policy of "no changes once the group buy is live" I wonder how things like this will play out.

Yes, thanks for catching that. I will correct it.

I'm confident that this problem will be corrected. I have fixed a couple other similar errors. I believe their "no changes" policy is aimed at substantial changes such as adding more child deals or significantly changing the number of caps in any deal. It seems they are ok with the change if its just a correction.

Homing kits sold: 107
Base kits sold: 34

Um... what?

I have to admit, I am disappointed with the low purchase numbers, but it is a rough time for most wallets right now and lots of other good SA sets being produced / sold recently / now (Penumbra, Nuclear Data, PuLSE, Hack'd by Geeks, Symbiosis), and interest checks for even more (Danger Zone, possible Retro in old Midnight thread).
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

Homing Kits is bugged.  It's probably 7, not 107.

1976 numbers will go up.  It still has 3 weeks left and people tend to wait 'til the last minute to buy for some reason (I call this the PMK Scramble).  It'll tip.  Remember how many votes the IC had?

I'm trying to position Danger Zone so wallets have time to recover.   :thumb:

When the buy was first posted, the Homing Kit was listed as $0 in error and someone bought 100, so I think you can safely subtract 100 from that number for the real number of orders.

You are really good at addressing issues so I'm guessing that you just missed this question as it was on the bottom of the last page:

Thanks again!

Whoops! Yes, I missed that, sorry. Yes I confirmed with SP that they can produce the ErgoDox modifiers with 90 degree rotated legends.

Should I be worried that SP only charged an extra $0.10 for shipping on the ErgoDox base kit, but $7.00 for shipping on the TKL base kit?

I think I prove Fermat's Last Theorem before I could understand PMK's shipping costs.

When the buy was first posted, the Homing Kit was listed as $0 in error and someone bought 100, so I think you can safely subtract 100 from that number for the real number of orders.

That's too bad. I was excited thinking someone else loved homing keys as much as I do. I imagined an entire board of blank bumpy keys and was looking forward to the pictures of it  ;D

That would be oddly hilarious, and good feeling, as I love the feel of the homing bumps.

That does match well! The colors are even in the correct order.

This set of caps is going to slowly burn a hole in my wallet and I don't even mind.

So I was watching some MST3K.  They were riffing some movies which are based on an old show called The Master with Lee Van Cleef and Timothy Van Patten.  The main characters, humorously, drive around in a panel van.  The color scheme of the paint job looked mighty familiar.

That's pretty wild. No yellow, but even the blue matches pretty well.

The blue matches better in different scenes.  I picked this screenshot because it shows the entirety of the van in a single frame.  Movies that are MST3K fodder generally aren't known for having the best lighting in the world.

Um, I'm confused. I just spent 25 minutes trying to load what I wanted for this GB into the PMK cart. The website is slow as ****. When I hit check out, I only see the option for PayPal. When I hit the PayPal button, it loops back to the shopping cart. Is anyone getting this? Am I not allowed to buy anything? @.@

Looks like it's working on Firefox and not Chrome for me...

why are the blanks in this set so much more than the ones in the nuclear ($0.25) or pulse ($0.45) sets were?

Not sure...I think it may depend on the color. I think nuclear (VV) is one of the colors the normally stock.

Bump...  Getting down to the wire here people.  Need to get your orders in.

Not sure it will hit the MOQ, but I would like to split the Specialty Kit with someone if we can make it hit the MOQ.  I am looking for the 1.25u Blue Shift, 1.75u Brown Shift, 1u Blue Fn.

Let me know if you are interested...

How does it work if the other things don't make it? My interest is highly dependent on some of the extras and won't be of much use to me without them... if that stuff doesn't make it can you cancel the whole thing?
