My thoughts exactly. Why on Earth would you pay $200+ for ONE Click Clack verses this item being Hand-made and polished for you........?

PLUS any auction that hints a Click Clack, you should see the site traffic then. I can not understand that in any way.

36 orders, roughly $3600 worth. I'd say that's a good amount of people, considering these are $100 per spacebar. All the people shelling out big money for CC's are already on the list

I really don't understand why people would spend $200+ on that army green CC. I was shocked because IMO those tri-color CCs look much better and they don't cost that much.

Hammer said that he should be able to make the first batch of orders out by the end of this month, not guaranteed though.

And the Ti spacebar is about 0.8 mm thick.

Edit: Hammer first told me that a 6.25x spcebar w/ 6 stems may weigh 28g. And then he decided to make the walls thin in order to break down the weight because 28g is too heavy. But the ones w/ 3 stems basically don't have this problem.

They actually look quite good. In fact the surfaces have next to no blemishes at all. Kudos to the craftsman, for showing his skills which seem quite excellent.

Because it must match a certain color scheme or it's something they don't have yet. That's understandable.

@The_Ed & WhiteFireDragon: I've told Hammer that you two need the spacebars to be as thick as the cherry thick spacebar (about 1.5 mm thick). He said it's not guaranteed about it because he's not sure if they have been producing yet. He will go check it tomorrow and let us know.

You do know that if you want a heavier space bar you simply super-glue some metal weights underneath. I've been doing that for years with Cherry Keyboards.

i agree, i would want it as thick as possible.
even though its made of titanium i still want to feel that im getting the max amount of material.

my only concern is that it will be too heavy for my browns and space all by itself or with the slightest tap.
any one with this experience or if this is a logical concern?

Rack another one up for thick!

Just use a Grey 39 as your spacebar switch. It is a tougher tactile switch. I have 6 spares if you need one.

the board i have has plate mounted switches so i think it would be a bit more difficult to swap them.
not sure how to do it.

i do have another leopold fc200 rt that has clears which are 55 g instead of 45 that i could put it on.

Cherry switches are measured in cN NOT g... Grey 39 is an 80cN switch, and I have both plate and PCB mount switch bottoms. Clear is 65cN, brown is 55cN.

Not sure yet, I'm still waiting for response from Hammer.

But, personally, I don't recommend going with thick Ti spacebar. A regular one weighs about 17 grams, and it's already pretty heavy. I don't know how a 27 grams spacebar will feel like.

The reason people choosing thick PBT caps is because it feels more stable than the thin ones. But this theory is not quite true on Ti spacebars.

I think I'd like the weight and acoustics of a thicker spacebars. Getting a heavier spring is easily within my grasp, even a custom spring wouldn't be that expensive.
