I have a question for any Novatouch owners: Have you ever had trouble putting on a replacement spacebar? I put my set of black blanks from Ivan's GB on my new Novatouch, but the spacebar doesn't seem to fit on properly. I've also tried two other PBT spacebars from different sets (one thick PBT cherry profile, one thin PBT OEM profile) and the stock DasKB spacebar. At this point, only the stock spacebar from the NT and the DasKB stock spacebar will fit.

Does anyone have any insight on why my other spacebars aren't working, or what I can do about it? Thanks.

I just ordered 3 teensy 2.0's and I'm pretty sure they'll come without the pre-installed riser pins that my existing teensy has. I got that one from massdrop in an ergodox kit.
What is the correct name for those pins?
I call them risers or standoffs, but if I have to buy some, I want to know what to look for.

Why are Koreans so into keyboards as opposed to other countries in Asia? I noticed there are a lot of talk about Korean keyboard around here.
Because they can afford it.

South Korea, is one of the top 3 countries on Asia in terms of per capita GDP.

They are called "pins"

You order the Teensy "with pins" or "without pins" and the pins are an extra dollar or 2.

You can also buy strips of pins cut cut to length and install yourself, but it is probably pretty tight and fussy.

"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

I'm planning to swap springs, add SIP sockets, sticker and thus lube my (brand new) Gateron Black switches.

But while I was taking apart the switches, I noticed that the stem came with some factory grease applied on them.

> How should I clean the stems before applying my own lube (GH thin formula = Krytox GPL 206/1506 mixture) ?

I don't have the ultra-sonic cleaner thing, nor any mysterious (but powerful) industrial detergent  ;D

Some isopropyl alcohol soaked in doesn't hurt either.

Anyone know SP 6u stem spacing? Not 6.25, real 6u.

Pretty sure it's on there...

http://deskthority.net/wiki/Space_bar_dimensions

Unfortunately it's non-SP measurements though. Not sure if it's correct to assume that one of the 6u spacing there is the same as SP's.

No clue what SPs would be, I'm not sure I've got one to check...

I've never used that exact software but I'd assume it's like the other programs I've used. You build a layout you like then make a hex file. Then use Flip to push the hex file onto your board's chip.

I don't think you need atmel's FLIP, I think the program accesses the bootloader directly.  Make your layout, and hold down the caps lock key while plugging in the usb cable.  Then upload the firmware.

Note: I also have not used this particular software, but all the cool kids are using direct access loaders that mean you never have to get messy with a hex or eep file if you don't want to.

1x Winkey formats (like The Cheat), do they have a "special" (i.e. not 6.25x) spacebar?

Bottom Row Math
Ansi:
1.25 * 7 = 8.75
8.75 + 6.25 = 15 units on the bottom row

1x Winkey builds:
1.5 * 4 = 6
1 * 2 = 2
15 - 6 - 2 = 7x Spacebar?

Yes, I've installed the mirrored software Acantha hosted, because the original files are no longer accessible, and the key mapper executable does not run on 2 different computers I've tried it with.  I just need to generate a modified layout hex file.  If yours still works, I'd PM with a request, if you don't mind.

What would one use to flash a 456gt controller?

I haven't quite sacked up and tried to flash my 356 Mini yet, but I've spoken to quite a few people about it and gathered a whole mess of software and firmware for it. Info always seems to be incredibly sketchy on programming OTD boards for whatever reason, but from what I gather it should be very similar if not the same for the Mini, DGE, 456GT, and 360 Corsa, so if you can find someone who has flashed one of those it might help.

The guy I spoke to who wrote a UI for 356 Mini layouts told me I'd need an AVR ISP Programmer and you can load the hex files onto the board with avrdude. The firmware hex can be generated via the version of ps2avr here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ps2avr/ however you'll need to map the columns appropriately which again, I haven't done. Ditto on the fuse settings, should be similar to the other late-model 356 boards.

Anybody knows where to obtain one 87% pcb that can be used in a lz board (lz-fe)?

If I am not mistaken, my options are sprit and gon but I am afraid that I might miss another source.

Thanks in advance.
Why not contact LZ and get their PCB?

Don't like his pcb. The keymapper doesn't allow macro activation from 1 keypress.
I rrrove brrracks.

Did you take ask the keycaps off and check under all the stickers? Poker X you could only see the screw heads after you took ask the caps off.

I've never heard of an ikbc case or plate. Could you link me?

I was under the impression LZ cases on fit LZ PCBs. I thought I had heard that they made theirs unique to prevent drop ins like you're suggesting. I'm not 100% sure though.

Edit: My LZ expert says that most LZ stuff is going towards beastmask/monstermask PCBs so I think you're right in that you can drop in GON, sprit, or Winkeyless PCBs. And the b.87 or Beastmask PCBs should work. I think Monstermask and beastmask are the same PCBs but I could be mistaken.

Got it. I've never seen that board or PCB in person so I'm not sure. You might want to contact winkeyless and ask them. I'm not very familiar with full size boards and their dimensions as there's been very few options for custom full sizes lately.

I'm on my phone, so I don't have links and leave the google to you, but if you have the keyboard in question, GON provides a DXF of his PCB and winkeyless provides DWGs of his cases. You could download those and take measurements from the computer, or even print a layer on large paper and line it up to check.

I saw on gonkeyboard works that his sample picture for the gonpad numpad has cherry keycaps with F13,F14,F15,F16 keycaps.  What cherry boards came with more than 12 F keys?

I don't know a full list but the G80-8113 has 12 F keys plus 12 remappable keys.
I proxy anything including keyboards (キーボード / 鍵盤), from both Japan (日本) and China (中國). For more information, you may visit my dedicated webpage here: https://www.keyboards.es/proxying.html

What happens if i put a red 3mm led on my keyboard that normaly have white led?
AFAIK red led have lower tension from white led, so i'll burn the led? or something worse?
