Inspiron 530 Desktop
- 2.0Ghz C2D CPU
- 4GB ram
- 320GB hdd
- dual layer DVD burner
- onboard LAN, video, sound, etc
Comes with a 17" widescreen LCD and a decent printer. All for $579.
Bought it for my kids who have been clamoring for another desktop (primarily to play WoW on). :)
Ubuntu is installing right now. I had a decent graphics card lying around...so WoW should be quite playable for them under Wine.
It came with the "Home Preminum" version of the nasty (http://www.microsoft.com/windows), if that matters to anyone.

How does WoW play under Wine?
Not a big gamer myself but I do use Ubuntu as my main desktop. While its good for what I do, it surely is lacking when it comes to playing mainstream games.

WoW plays great under Wine on Ubuntu. I'm not really into WoW that much...but several hard core gamers in my guild play under Wine and prefer it to having a separate gaming machine loaded with the nasty.

I can't believe you are pimping Best Buy right now.

Nice? Dell?
Deal? Best Buy?
:p

The only way I'd buy a Dell is if I had millions in the bank ... like iMav.

Me neither. I'm still torqued about my TV in-home [dis-]service. ;)
But...a good deal is a good deal.

I have issues with WoW under wine. No hardware cursor, which means that the pointer is too sluggish.
