VINTAGE WANG WORD PROCESSOR MONITOR KEYBOARD RARE*Make an Offer

Quite a beauty!

Seems hardly used, if at all:

There's not a lot of info about these, but I found an engineer's page about them here on Internet Archive, including this ad:

141928-0

Get it—"standalone"? Looks like the whole office turned out for the photo.  :?)

The seller couldn't get it working, but maybe you could. (I'd be happy just having it sitting around.) He's asking $299 + shipping, but I think it's just a shot in the dark, as he seems pretty open to offers.

Wow!  When I was in High School I enrolled in an offsite vocational program for Data Processing.  The first year the class had around 20 of these terminals all networked to a Wang computer ... with 512(K)ilobytes of memory!  20 people! 512k! We were taught COBOL/RPG/JCL/etc... pretty amazing at the time.  This was around 1991.

Well, Bill Gates did say that "640K is enough for anyone"... Maybe he meant "everyone".
