[GB] GMK Vaporwave (July 1-August 2, 2019)

IMO the biggest frustration from this is that the caps for probably about half of people's orders are at NK, ready to be shipped, but being delayed further by something that doesn't affect their orders at all, while other vendors for this set haven't had the same issue and have been shipping out to people already. By the time the RAMA caps arrive to NK and things start shipping out, it will already be almost a month of an extra delay with the caps being in stock, just held up by a system that seems to only be affecting NK.

Ditto, it's the comparison with other vendors that gives negative appearance.
My ask to NK and Mike is: don't change the current system since it sounds like it might cause other issues.  But consider doing things differently for future.  Pls don't give curt NO unless you can explain the difference with other vendors.

Not all vendors have shipped out, and I might be mistaken, but I think Daily Clack is the only vendor that has shipped out. We all use different methods for accepting and fulfilling orders. There is not a set standard that every vendor uses. A lot of us use Shopify, but NovelKeys only uses Shopify to accept orders - not to fulfill them.

There are mainly two reasons that we aren't able to change this system. One is how we process orders. Everything in the same product page needs to be processed together. I keep deskpads separate for this very reason. I know that deskpads will always arrive earlier than the keycaps. The second reason is the volume. I dont want to get into specifics of other vendors numbers, but NA sales are vastly greater than EU, Australia, and Asia sales combined.

The only way this will be able to be changed in the future is if I separate RAMA keycaps from future GB's. I do not have any plans on doing that. This is a one off delay that we have had from RAMA. Our order was place with RAMA at the same time of the keycaps. I am not sure of the exact details why it has had a delay, but I do know that this is a special coated keycaps, and then the corona virus hit.

No complaints for now.  Agree the corona virus is unexpected.

Note Chinese PMI just fell to record low.  This and other indicators mean this type of disruptions may happen again.  Just heads up.

yes. It is meant to be used instead of capslock for HHKB layout and similiar

I had the same experience. For the initial GB, I only bought RAMA cap since it looked interesting in the renders. Once it arrived, it was even better than renders so figured I gotta get the base kit as well and snatched one extra

Can we do another round in SA? After finally getting a key set in this profile, the best key cap profile to every exist, i want to replace EVERY gmk cherry profile set I have with the superior SA.( All though, it might just be my Mexican heritage speaking....)

Considering the stupid nonsense GMK is pulling with retrowave, and this set has that same "sunset" novelty which GMK is of the absurdly dumb, and objectively incorrect belief. that MiTo/Laser has some claim to that symbol, it might not be possible. Screw GMK.

I'm sure they will come to an agreement, regardless, that's just one novelty, it's hardly an essential part for this set.

I might add that you shouldn't blame GMK for this, they aren't obliged to produce every set and have all the right to refuse. In this case however they're trying to defend themselfs from a potential lawsuit, it's understandable and any sane person running a company would do the same in their shoes.
