Not the form-factor for me, but this is a pretty neat board with a solid aesthetic. GLWGB!
This is a nice looking board. I love how you've worked the weight and case together to keep it down to one alu piece and still retain the top mount plate. Very cool. Thanks! That was definitely a design priority for me. I think it helps with sound and makes the polycarb version look better than 2-piece designs.
Good board, good designer. Can confirm he won't kick you out of his GB for designing a different 40got emm
What's the price of individual cases? I'm seeing the option for PC case + PCB, or Aluminum. I'm guessing that you intended for the first case option to include a PCB regardless of material? Does that mean I can buy another case for it?
what's the weight of the PC board vs the ALU board? thanks
the polycarbonate version is 1 lb 15 oz w brass plate and keycaps, the aluminum version is 2 lbs 7oz w polycarbonate plate and keycaps. heavy for their size :D
final question - is there an MOQ for this or just as many as you get before 11/1?
How do you type numbers?with layers! using one of my split spacebars i can access numbers punctuation and macros without leaving the alphas. i program on my neuron since i made the prototype :) it isnt for everyone, but i find it really comfortable
is it possible to change?pm'd and resolved
Placed an order and am excited
And "Walletburner" is pretty accurate.
this is def one of the best 40s to have come out in awhile, but sadly dont have money ;;;;;;. also u willing to share the pink pantone used to match? owo
Curious why you chose acrylic over PC för your daily driver plate?
Really nice looking board but I’m curious to know if the bottom supports countersunk screws? Based on the images, it looks like a no.Good eye. Yes! All the bottom screws are counterbored, and while I used taller button screws for the prototype in the pictures, the production run screws are flatter M2s. There are also sunk holes for the bumpons in the corners on the production Neuron too, so it sits on a mm or two of rubber cushioning, not on its screw heads.

Do you anticipate any extras being available for purchase?
Still looking at January for these?
Will there be PC extras :)
Any update on the timeline for these shipping out?
are there any extras, perchance, or will there be a round 2 in due time?
Take it easy Walletburner, we only get one spine and I can tell you tat at 50 I can feel all the stupid stuff I did to it at 20!
for anyone reading this, Walletburner is a man of his word, thanks for running this awesome promotion, i bought my Neuron on the last day and was one of the last domestic orders shipped, but found the golden ticket.

However I have one complaint about my Neuron: I don't like the way the spacebars are split
You already shared the plate file, so I can easily get my own plate cut for a different layout. But if I had the outline of the PCB, I could make a compatible PCB that supports my desired layout. Obviously I could measure the board and do it myself, but it would be nice to use the same outline if possible. Better still, if you're willing to share the PCB file that would save me quite a bit of work.
Is that something you'd be willing to share, and if so would you be willing to condone a small 3rd-party group buy for them?

it supports full spacebar too if you don't like split..

I'm not interested in sharing the PCB files, but The_Royal has already open-sourced the Schwann, an aftermarket ortho PCB with RGB underglow for Neuron, so I'm sure you can find everything you need to make a Neuron compatible PCB here: https://github.com/TheRoyalSweatshirt/The_Royal_Projects/tree/schwann/PCBs/Schwann_PCB (https://github.com/TheRoyalSweatshirt/The_Royal_Projects/tree/schwann/PCBs/Schwann_PCB) . As long as the port is between Esc and Q and it's smaller than the plate outline it should work.
Finally built my Neuron and this thing is great. This is the 3rd 40% Ive ever owned but Ive never really been patient enough to learn the new layout. I really want to try with this one though.
That being said, does anyone have either an image of the default Neuron config layout, or maybe have a config file that I could take a look at and test and then modify to my liking? Before the Neuron GB channel was taken down from the 40% discord a lot of people were sharing their configs and images of their layouts, but I didnt get a chance to pull any of them down.
Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

I just put the Via hex on mine. Made it easier to iterate on a layout that I liked.
Happy with how mine turned out :)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/RIdIGbL.jpg)
