Hello keyboard peeps, we'd like to introduce the 6060 - a WKL layout gasket hybrid that can use universal 60% plates and left sided PCBs! It has been several busy months adding and improving elements of the 6060, and now we have some prototype pictures to share, as well as a sound test (with lubed + filmed inks). So it's time for another IC for the final design of the keyboard.

Our philosophy behind this keyboard design was to provide a reasonably priced gasket mount WKL. We also realised that one issue with gasket mounts is that it's not always the easiest to experiment with different plate & switch options, as the plate has to be specifically designed to fit the keyboard. Hence, we added removable standoffs to our design, so you can swap in your trusty traymount PCB-plate-switch assemblies easily.

We've also managed to partner with SMOKEY Plates, a German manufacturer for top quality plates and not to mention an awesome guy.

Mounting system and how it works:

As mentioned this is a gasket mount keyboard however you can use tray mount with this keyboard, the way we can achieve this is by adding screw holes in the standard PCB screw position, below is a render on how the whole things works:

Protos are looking good, but the ano looks a little inconsistent in some places. I'm assuming that's from handling / photo quality?

Yep this is because I practically have 0% natural light where the protos were taken, but we've evaluated the ano and its very consistent, its just the lighting, apologies.

Ah awesome. Thanks for the clarification! Updated photos under better lighting conditions would be greatly appreciated (small nit though)
