I aim to launch this, and Fjell Classic R4 at the same time, very soon.

Kind of how like the standoffs work for a computer case for mounting a motherboard. Also will the connection cutout still be large to accomodate mini usb or are you going towards the usb-c route now?

It will be updated, however it will still support Mini USB.

Is this the same as the purple fjell? Do you have any more renders of the different colors. Kinda hard for me to decide on a color at the moment.

Its the purple fjell color, if course colors will vary between batches.

It will be anodized black. Black aluminum is not percieved as perfect black through your eye. I tried to replicate however it will never be perfect in renders.
