Went with 7u so I can go with 1.5u across the bottom, arrows, split l shift, split backspace (bar, delete), and hhkb delete/bs. No need for win key on programmable board, especially with qmk. Thinking either double tap on FN or maybe ctrl+alt for win.

Do you, like, hate stabilised keys or something?? :P

Although I just realized my layout doesn't provide a key for function. I'll have to make right alt/ctrl into win and FN keys. I don't use them for anything. 1.5u life ain't easy.

Novice question, but why would one want the GMK screw in stabs?

the screw in stabs fix the stabs on to the board and should lower the possibility of pulling out a stabilizer when changing keycaps.

Plus the base is super secure and provides better stabilization

- Requesting to see if we have extra units at the manufacturer that we can receive.

Have a good day everyone!

Hey Jchan, not sure if my email was seen?

6.25 is the most common size, but you can use the ISO UK layout with 7U stabs as well. Look at the bottom rows available on the M65-A on the first page of this thread, and maybe check your keyset for compatibility as well if you already have one. It's mostly a matter of personal preference and keyset compatibility.

Don't have keyset yet, but sounds like 6.25U might be safer bet?

In theory it is. Although unless you're going for the cheap stuff (such as Tai-Hao), a lot if not most keysets nowadays offer a 7U spacebar and some 1.5U mods.

What are you planning to do with the PCB?  Curious.  I thought he never released the case or plate for it.

What do you mean? I'm planning on putting vint blacks on the PCB. The case is the M65-A and the plate is the brass plate. Hopefully that answers your question.

Hi everyone,

This is a friendly bump to make sure you fill out the form.

Other than that, I hope that the shipment arrives soon.

Fun question while we wait

If the shipment is 4 pallets, what is the estimated total weight for 450 M65's ?

Hm, what have we here? http://www.dhl-usa.com/content/dam/downloads/g0/express/shipping/weights_and_dimensions/weights_and_dimensions_en_lm.pdf

Jchan/RAMA posted a picture showing 4 kits per box a few weeks ago. 450 / 4 = 112.5 boxes, so let's say 113 boxes with one kit all by itself in the 113th box. If we assume each kit is between 6 and 8 pounds, let's go with 7, then 450 * 7lb = 3,150 pounds, or 1,432kg. This is far under DHL's maximum pallet weight. The boxes seem to take up quite a bit of space (38.5x34.5x32cm) and DHL's maximum pallet dimensions for Express are 120x100x160cm. We can fit 3 x 3 x 4 per pallet, or 36 boxes per pallet. This puts us at 458kg per 36 boxes (4kits*3.18kg*36 boxes) which would mean that 4 pallets are needed for 113 boxes. The thing is, with 36 boxes per pallet, that's 108 boxes across 3 pallets, leaving... 5 boxes... on pallet 4. Not likely. 30 boxes per pallet makes the most sense. 30, 30, 30, 23. But I digress!

I'm going to say 3200lb or 1500kg all told, which ever is closer ;)
