Just finished soldering tonight and noticed that my brass weight is completely mirrored - without the M-65A text :o. Did I miss something, or wasn't that supposed to be etched on?

Only complaint is that the tolerances on the brass plate are really low, which means many switches were crooked and I had to reflow most of them.

The problem lies with the Aristotle stem, not the brass plate.

Try replacing a couple of crookedstotles with regular Cherry MX switches and see if there's a difference.

Probably both the plate and the aristotle stems then. It did the same thing with some Cherry MX Blues and Kailh BOX switches, they wiggle a lot in the brass plate. Doesn't take much effort to fix though.

Can anyone give me specs on the side screws?

I'm guessing they are M3, but if anyone could confirm and let me know the length I'd appreciate it.

I think we have about 120 that remain.

I'll be packing some tomorrow in the morning and I'll be emailing the people whos got packed yesterday as well.

I'll be dropping them off on Monday for shipping.

We're those emails sent out? I'm having a weird issue with my email so I'm constantly wondering if my order is still in the queue or I just never got the email.

The packages were already picked up.

This is concerning :(

Can you please call USPS and clarify it?

No.

Jk, only on a call.

Thank you, hopefully it didn't get lost.  :'(

Seriously.

They've advised us to wait until Monday for tracking to update.

--

Last week, we had one go untracked for about 6 days, and then it magically started moving, got scanned in at LA, then magically showed up in Australia.

Great news package just got scanned in LA. Hopefully the same happens with 1965 soon.

Excuse the potato as it's all I have available but just finished my build and wanted some quick pics.
It's much wider than I was expecting and I was not ready for how SHINY the case is, pictures don't really do it justice, you have to see the way light reflects off the living keyboard in person to appreciate it. Fantastically massive even without the weight, and with the brass weight on, woa!
Taking a picture of the weight was tricky because it's so reflective the camera wanted to focus on the ceiling.
Using an aluminum plate (which is so pretty I almost don't regret not getting the brass) with lubed 65g zealios and lubed zeal stabs.
Typing is so soft, like what would the final form of mx-browns be if they weren't meh?
I LOVE RAMA ROSE GOLD

Jchan, this board has surpassed my every expectation and was more than worth the wait.
Thank you for running this groupbuy and I wish all the best for you and yours.

It's great to see some more sexy builds coming out of this thread again. I got my unit but haven't opened the box since I am waiting to get a brass plate, either from the extras, or the supposed upcoming custom brass plate group buy. I was foolish for not getting one at the beginning but I didn't know how nice they were until I got one with my TX-CP. So now I don't even want to open it until I can get that plate, otherwise I might be too tempted to build it with the aluminum plate!

Jchan said 3-4 weeks was realistic about 24 days ago. But if there are really 120 left, I truly cannot fathom them all going out this week. Things have been pretty active with the new Topre domes, which is nice for that project.

lol aw man! the joke continues. I still think we should have done some over/under betting on the E8-V1, M65A, and MiraSE to see which would come first or which will take a year to ship.

Honestly though the only one that was worrisome was the E8-V1 with the dude disappearing with all the money locked in paypal.

How shady is your post office that this kind of stuff keeps happening?  I just don’t understand.

It's not a shady post office. They process a lot for pretty much all of LA county.

Here's what we work with:

- we aren't allowed to drop off packages off at the office because we ship in bulk. they never allow us, even if it's over the counter (like one or two). Even if we put it on the counter, they don't scan it at the office
- we must drop it off at the rear of the office in a truck <-- this is no different, if we went, or our post man picks it up for us.
- it gets resent to another office / sorting facility in Los Angeles area
- it gets distributed from there.

---

This happened before at our previous office in Culver City. Same thing happened, and sometimes, it happens.

--

Edit:

People often ask me, Joseph, why did you switch to Fedex? Because I don't like this type of stuff happening. For fedex, the guy comes into my office, and scans it in front of me for every package. Yes, it's expensive, but it's service that I think serves value to you, and to me. Knowing that the package is moving is bless.

Yeah, that's the reflection of my ceiling. To my surprise, I had the same comment on that pic when posted to reddit, so you're not the only one who thought the brass was messed up. Here's a shot of the front from that set.

Damn it looks good! Did you ever hear any word on why the weight is blank?

Thanks guys. Never heard why mine is blank or whether anyone else got a blank one. I guess it was a mistake but I'm not complaining - still works and looks good  :thumb:

I actually like the look of the blank one you have a lot! Also if you ever wanted to exchange it with a printed one I'm sure you could find someone to trade with by posting here or on r/mechmarket!
