Mine was sent out on the 29th of Nov and arrived today. Despite my board being one of those caught up in the delay having now assembled it and using it as of now I can say this board is, without doubt, worth the wait of any delay.

Like the monochrome theme going on there! Seeing all these post with people saying, "It's totally worth the wait", doesn't make the waiting any easier though.  It just makes me more excited and impatient!

Dang, that looks nice and clean. What switches did you put in it?
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

The world has become a weird place.

Unlubed cherry clears with 62g SPRiT springs for the alphas, same for the mods except I used cherry tactile greys to colour match the grey granite caps. Don't know why I colour matched them when you can't even see them :))  oh well at least i'll know.

Last update was a week ago, could you give us an idea of when you'll be shipping over the holidays? I assume you'll be taking some time off.

Mine showed up today! Sadly, one corner of the box is slightly crushed (thanks, FedEx) but the contents all seem fine.

Mine showed up today too! Box was fine, but there seems to be a small bit of discoloration in the finish on the top of the case. I'd much rather have a crushed box.

First time soldering question: If I accidentally soldered a switch into the wrong hole (regular caps lock vs stepped caps lock for example), technically that switch is the only one I need to desolder to replace it? I don't need to desolder everything do I?

We have (at this point) 60 outstanding units to ship out.

Just packed a dozen more just now.

53 / 448 are left.

Numbers don't really make sense, but I'm guessing 12 or so a week go out. Which means that's 2, sometimes 3 a day. Are they not in pre-cut foam and purpose-made boxes?

Either way, I assume we're around 50 units left to ship. At this rate, accounting for stopping for holidays, I presume shipping will finish early February. Is this about right?

Beautiful keyboard pics!  and nice build log, really great that you kept in the pictures about the steps you needed to consider in addition.  No doubt this is very helpful to others for their builds.  Great job :thumb:

Nice build Brammy good thing you got it turned around in the end~!

@people; I have a QMK /PCB related question. Today when I turned on my PC I noticed two pairs of keys had switched. I have a split backspace with backslash programmed on the left key 1u and backspace is where backslash usually is. My bottom row has a 6.25u space and starts with Control, Win, Alt. Win and Alt were somehow swapped today as well as backspace and backslash. I cleared the EEPROM and make'd and reflash a fresh .hex file which somehow fixed the swapped backspace and backslash. Win and Alt were still swapped. I reconfigured the keymap.H file to swap K41 (previously Win) with K43 (previously Alt) and now the keys are all back in the right order. It makes it a bit confusing though for example I will probably forget the next time when I edit the keymap. Has anyone ever had this happen, and know how to reset or fix this? I think it might have happened during a PC reboot cycle as I also had an issue with the underglow not turning off when the PC was off.

Never had this happened to me before, are you using OSX or Windows? This sounds a little bit like OSX's behaviour when you flip the modifiers around in the system settings. But I don't own a Mac, so this is purely conjecture.

Thanks for the reply and good point, didn't even think to check whether it is OS related. I just checked on a different PC (both windows) and my reprogrammed keys act the same so I don't think it is the OS.

Mine finally arrived. Hooray for early Xmas presents! Unfortunately, I won't have time to get it clacking just yet with the holiday rush, but so happy to see it there on me shelf waiting for me.

Sad to see that the anodizing was scratched though before I even got it out of the box.  :(  On the bright side it's on the rear of the board so I shouldn't see it too often.

Check out some pics of the beefy (and beautiful) packaging: https://imgur.com/a/h3A3P

Anyone else bootmapper pcb keeps on disconnecting and connecting back randomly?

Probably a dumb question, but did you try a different usb cable?

Sorry probably should've included some information. Tried 3 different USB cables and 2 computers. Pretty sure its the pcb.

I would email keyclack support.   You probably need a replacement.  I’m sure it’s fixable but will require some troubleshooting and proper equipment.

Did you test it before you built it?

If you want to take close up photos of the back of the PCB we can take a look here.

Oh yeah it was working for months and all of a sudden issues started happening. Didn't spill water or anything like that.

Did you figure it out? Mine does the same thing, except it's brand new. It's like it sometimes(most of the time) doesn't feel like turning on.

The delay is indeed getting out of hand. Not an exact comparison, but VicG's silent black had 96k switches to sort through and got them done in a week.

Bad comparison. He just had to count out switches.

And there were proxies, so he didn't even have to count all 96K

If you want to keep that comparison going you would be fine with the brass weight missing and maybe a couple of screws too, as the MX Black switches shipped with some scratchy Red springs.. and I'm pretty sure I'm missing a switch or two in the baggy.

Let's be real here j Chan has had these boards for 5 months so I don't think time has been an issue.  These people that are still waiting deserve their boards soon as they have been pretty damn patient.  That being said I did receive my board and everything looks great.

This is by far the best board I have ever seen.

The group buy has been very disappointing, to say the least.  Delays in GBs are expected/inevitable, but the lack of communication and missed promises are ridiculous

Same thing happened to me once or twice. It appears that bootmagic is being activated somehow by accident, since my symptoms match all the "features" that bootmagic provides (https://docs.qmk.fm/feature_bootmagic.html). I have a theory that it is somehow related to the keyboard being unplugged, but haven't done any tests because it's a minor annoyance to clear and flash.

Thanks so much, that sounds very plausible! I wasn't able to reset it before though, I am using QMK toolbox in windows to flash. How did you manage to undo the swap with a reset and reflash? I will program these commands on a layer somewhere so I can unswap if it happens again.

Flashing the new hex file unswapped everything somehow, but I programmed keys in a third layer to unswap keys if needed in the future. Hope it works, this is my layout (with the code in properties): http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/#/gists/f415c3cafd81d2191c2daa5536aa7e6d

Sounds like you got it resolved, but I'll try to answer your question and elaborate a little bit more.

First, I had to reset the eeprom using the instructions here:
https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/tree/master/quantum/tools
That is, erase and overwrite with the "eeprom_reset" hex file provided in that folder of the repository. After that, I flashed my own JC65 keymap again and the swapped keys were back to normal. Note that I did all of this from a linux terminal so I don't know how/if these translate to Windows.

Having those keys to unswap in the future is the best solution I can think of. Since all the bootmagic keys were activated together in my case, it might be possible to program a macro that toggles all the bootmagic options with a single button. It could be easier than undoing them all individually.

This happened to me again tonight for no apparent reason. I tried to program a macro to disable all of the swaps at once, but couldn't get it to work. I was able to make a macro that activates all the swaps, but the same method wouldn't toggle or turn them off again.

Another solution that disables all of the toggles is to use another bootmagic feature to clear the eeprom. I enabled bootmagic [put "BOOTMAGIC_ENABLE=yes" in rules.mk] and flashed my keymap again. Now, when I hold space + backspace while plugging the board in, it clears the eeprom. All the bootmagic features are disabled at once and there's no need to re-flash after that.

Here's what I had going for the macro in case anyone else wants to take a stab at it. Changing all the false flags to true allows me to reproduce the issue, at least.

If it took one hour to pack and book shipping for a single person's order, this group buy has 53 hours left of actual work, assuming no more have been packed since the last update. Being generous, let's say 60 hours. This group buy could be wrapped up in the next four working weeks if 3 hours a day were spent on it.

If this is not reasonable, please could you provide some explanation or reason for delay, or perhaps a reasonable/realistic timeline for what is happening with my hundreds of dollars I spent a year ago?

On day 1, he packed and shipped 29 boards. This could be over in 2 days of good, solid work.

My suspicion is that there are problems with the remaining boards, and that he is waiting for replacements.

Because if it isn't that, the only other explanation I can think of is that he is too depressed to send them out.

In any case, three emails to support@keyclack.com and multiple posts I've made here have gone unanswered.

I love Rama's design, but this has been pretty poorly handled in terms of customer support and transparency.

Guys, tried to flash my M65 qmk pcb and encountered a weird behavior:
The KC_ESC and KC_GRV key are somehow swapped.

Spent like two hours to figure that out! Any idea?

Did you try switching them in the firmware?
