Insurance boss brought to justice.
« on: Fri, 06 December 2024, 00:35:22 »

Yup. This is exactly what was going to happen.

French Revolution, in America, where everyone haz dat guns.

End game capitalism.

Your thoughts?

Maybe insurance companies will finally approve people's much needed medicine?

NE1 rewatching V for Vendetta?

Here's what someone might consider investing in.

Private militia/defense/bodyguard companies.
Gated community development.
Armored vehicle conversion services.
Armored Taxi/Limo service.
Biotech kevlar.
A proper education for your children.

NOT guns, because the people this revolution spooks already own guns, guns which can not protect them. They can only bunker up.

And if you're a poor person, well you're not worth shooting at, so you're reasonably safe with or without guns.

When the climate wars get serious. Assuming the world doesn't fall apart in the first month, which it probably will.

We're going to break into fiefdoms, feudal warlordy situations.

You're going to need skills in this society as commoners, social status climbing will become largely impossible.

You may choose to become a lord of your own and organize, but these collectives took at least 10-20 years to build, and in the climate wars,  there won't be that much time, and there won't initially be stable resources for you to raise an army from scratch.

In a holistic sense.

Assuming there is enough awareness left in the political system to manage the nuclear waste situation, a "feudal" society might be the best thing that could happen to mankind.

A true pull back
from consumption economy.

This might be what the AI super intelligence has decided for us.

Eliminating one single billionaire prevents the equivalent environmental damage that approx. 1.4 million regular individuals cause throughout the entirety of their lives combined.

Don't fact check me on this, I crunched the numbers.

Redeploy 50-60% of the workforce into manual farm labor.

Most people will eat/ live local.

No more guzzaline transport, no need for diesel tankers, globalization largely shuts down.

It's true that 1 billionaire is a super emitter, but even if you killed them all, it would not be enough to offset climate change.

The totality of mankind is the main as eating meat is the PRIMARY emitter of green house gasses when land-use opportunity cost is taken into account.

Billionaires get a bad rep for the super yachts and jets, but realistically, the combined transport emission is significantly less than MEAT.

The opportunity cost of MEAT production, grazing + animal feed, is 3 TRILLION TREES + surrounding soil,  = 3x of all existing emissions in the atmosphere.  This is a land mass the size of the entire African Continent.

YES, billionaires eat alot of meat, but so does the average american. Approximately 200lbs per person per year. That's a person and a half worth of meat. 43% of the earth's dry surface is dedicated to livestock grazing and feed stock.

Computer side of things.

There won't be much use for large systems, probably microsoft excel is more than sufficient in managing autocracies.

So Statistics + Accounting would be valuable. As they still take a long time to train.

Chemistry will be nice to preserve, but if you have no industrial base for most pure precursors,  we'll have to settle for feudal apothecaries.

Weapons, blacksmithing's back.

Guns and ammo, Difficult to maintain long term without industrial metallurgy. It's posssssible though, because you can just downgrade your guns, using existing salvaged metals, you can still produce much better weapons than bow/arrow.

Bow and Arrow, Don't think there will be alot of active killing after the energy and water sector is divided up. People will be dying left and right even without war.

Hunting is not calorie efficient.

Without monitoring and sanitation,  communicable diseases and food borne illnesses will again become the #1.

There's going to be alot of ground water contamination if previous industrial hubs are not cleaned up right away.

DO NOT STOCKPILE INSULIN.  Waste of money.

Within the first 2-3 months of collapse, type 2 diabetes will virtually disappear as people start running low on animal/ high fat food. Sugar does not cause diabetes. FATS do.

Without industrial agriculture, only the very wealthy class will get diabetes.  They won't pay you for your insulin, they'll kill you and take your insulin.

Once we hit a stable Feudal.

We will also have to VERY QUICKLY enter a Mordor economy, where it's just mining and tree cutting all the time.

Without advanced civilization, RAPID cooling "could" occur within 100 years to 100,000 years. We can inflect into an ice age,  and that is FAR more difficult to reboot under..

So they say fossil fuel is stranded assets,  Tp4'd say no,   that's your next Ice Breaker.

It's too hot now, but in Feudal, it will become TOO COLD.

Stable battery chemistries and E-readers.

Knowledge is power. Books will be burnt or rot, stockpiling data is much easier..

You don't need "That much" of it.   Bit rot is an issue, but for text, it shouldn't be that big of a problem even if you had to manually copy more often.

Super advanced text is unnecessary, because chances are they can be re-invented as building industrial bases give you plenty of time to do so.

Religion,  establishing absolute atheism immediately, would itself advance society hundreds of years, and since it's relatively easy to do,  every warlord should take that policy.

Kill any inclination of religion immediately, and burn all text, have a secret police to eliminate any form of practice.

It might look attractive to have a churchy population, but MORE then a few popes became Warlords of their own.

Having religion in your society is like living with a second monarch. You can never be sure he will brainwash the people to YOUR advantage,  because history shows,  they brainwashed the people to the Church's advantage far more often.

Eugenics.

In feudal society, sometimes you'd see the house of the lords go south pretty quickly as they induct Stupid-DNA.

It might be attractive to do the whole pillage/rape thing as feudal societies did, but this is a sure way to diminish ruling intellect.

Education can be reserved for the ruling class, but TESTING must be preserved.

The strongest old-houses had lots of kids with lots of women, they let the kids kill each other, "usually" the smarter one moved up.  Not a guarantee though,  that's why they should TEST everyone even if odds and ends don't meet.

Intelligence is one of the most Heritable genetic traits.

It sounds horrible Tp4,  why would anyone want to live like that.

Not a choice really.   This is all highly unlikely anyway, because the radiation from crumbling power reactors/ unmanaged nuclear waste will eradicate most large forms of surface life.

We likely can't establish a stable techno-feudal society before that happens.

From the Wiki.

Vice President nominee Tim Walz and Senator Amy Klobuchar, expressed dismay and offered condolences to the family. Walz said that he knew Thompson.[26] House representative Dean Phillips wrote that he was "horrified by the assassination of my constituent, Brian Thompson, this morning in NYC and have his family in my prayers.

Yea,  See fohat ?  I told you these guys  are JUST AS BAD as the republicans.

But what did Bernie
say,  Senator Bernie Sanders wrote, "We waste hundreds of billions a year on health care administrative expenses that make insurance CEOs and wealthy stockholders incredibly rich while 85 million Americans go uninsured or underinsured.

Even ELON, Health care is a human right. We need Medicare for All."

Taking away health care might indeed be a significant trigger to help wake up the American public.

The question is, What will they (can they?) do once awakened?
“The reason they call it the American Dream is because you have to be asleep to believe it.” - George Carlin

"Politicians have been proving Carlin right for decades. The GOP and the second Trump Administration seem bent on doing what they’ve always done, sometimes even turning the American Dream into the American Nightmare. Taxes are a major contributor, especially the billions upon billions that the rich and corporations don’t pay. Trump and his fellow Republicans are committed to keeping it that way — and, if their slim Congressional majorities can stick together, to do even more for those who need it the least. As one small example, the overall corporate tax rate could drop to 20%; domestic manufacturers could do even better, ending up with an effective corporate rate of 15%. The federal tax code is famous (and infamous) for its huge handouts to those with the highest incomes, the most egregious being the cap on Social Security taxes."

There are 1000 surface billionaires in 'murica, ~2000-10000 hidden.

Just keep killing them. We'll have our answer.

If you guys are opposed to violence like Tp4,  JUST STOP GOING TO WORK, and STEAL FOOD.

It's honestly just as effective, if not more effective than Guns.

Also,  Factory Sit-In.   If a company makes $Billions a year, and it only has 10,000 workers, the wage should be $Billions/10,000

JUST KIDDING,  that would be too awesome,
and no one would ever go to work again.

So,,,,,, what's actually most likely to happn' TP4,

Already told you, Feudal warlords.  We heading straight into a hand maiden's tale.

Ok, everyone's saying it's this levi jacket from macy.

But Tp4 thinks it's definitely not the right jacket, the Adjuster wore a jacket with rounded pocket flaps, the macy levi jacket is too pointy ?

Anyone find the right jacket?

It looks more like this one. Also by levi, for $80,  the little aglets look more like the security photograph and the pocket flaps match better..

Sad news everyone, The Hero of the people, Mr. The Adjuster, was captured @ a Pennsylvania Mcdonalds.

They're reasonably sure it is him, he had a 3dprinted gun, and fake ids on hand.

If Tp4 were to go into conspiracy mode, this could be a frame up to quell the Peasant-Uprising.

The headlines are exclaiming loudly how this was an Advantaged Youth, from a prominent financial family, valedictorian of his prep-school, etc etc.

He was arrested with possession of a Manifesto, titled, "ill will toward corporate America."

Media will likely distance The-Adjuster from normal people as much as possible, playing on the chord, He's not one of you.

But we the poor know, the Rich will topple, Injustice/ Inequality/ Inhumanism invariable crumbles. Merely a cycle.

Tp4 doesn't even care about justice at this point, if they don't wise up on climate change, we're all screwed.

It's absolutely insane that they can't figure out that there isn't another planet to spend all that stolen wealth on.

It's possible he's a look-alike.
If he was so smart why did he keep so much evidence on him? Just a bit too convenient.
Don't forget they had costume contest about him just the day before in New York.

They want this to disappear... Fast. or at least look like some murder for hire or something, anything other than allowing him to be a martyr and unite people, like he already has.

That's Tp4's suspicion as well. (Conspiracy-hat on)

It's really not that difficult to just PUT ON A SHOW, when you control the media.

That's largely what DEMOCRACY IS.  It's not real.

More heros will rise. This is inevitable.
