I have a quick question.
Why do people buy so many keycaps of the same kind? Do they just resell them to other people?
It makes me feel weird buying only one.

Mainly to make shipping not seem so overpriced haha. Especially internationally, it makes me feel I should at least buy $10 worth of keycaps. And when they cost <$1 each, that's a lot of the same keycaps! Would be nice if the buy had a few other keycaps that I could grab at the same time though

There's a pretty good chance that we'll hit the 250 mark, so each key will be pretty cheap. I just buy more to justify the shipping costs.

I don't know about you, but I have at least 6 keyboards with cherry keyswitches. This seems about average for a GH'er.

I'm going to wait on this. I know I want at least ONE, but I need to look at my bank account, and remind myself that I don't need 100.

Also, Why DS? Can't we have a PBT keycap sometime? I need something else to put on my CMstorm other than \KL blue, portal, and Nyan.

See, I don't look at it as hoarding. I walk into buys like this with a budget, a value that I want to spend for the product. This buy I set myself in the range of $50 because, well, its for a key style I really like and its a key I want pretty bad. What I do at this point is try and get the most for my money. SP has odd pricing structures and with the simplicity of this key I can get, at this current time, about 50ct for $50. But why stop there? Odds are I will walk away from this buy ordering 85 keys (75 for me and 10 for my paypal proxy) because the price is likely to fall to $.50 or so. Now, what I do then is not sell the keys because, well, first off I can't and second off I want them for my collection. I will probably use them in trades or bonuses for gifts and such. Now, if the price isn't $.50, then I will get less and if Demik lets me make a donation per key then so be it, I buy less but pay the same.

I used to have that feeling, too. However, now that I have multiple boards and even more keycap sets I really stopped caring about having the boards for the caps and look at it more as a collecting hobby.

As a note, Demik, if you want to do it this way then yay:

At the current price of $.71 the current ct of 400 costs $284 to buy from SP.

At the next price of $.51 at the next price's ct of 500 it costs $255. Any extras you can sell on your own for pure profit.

Inspire people? I like to think of myself as people's common sense in this type of situation. Also, $.45 may be a hard discount to achieve because I think it requires about 680 orders. I will see what I can do; I like spending other peoples' money.
