Quick update: I shipped out all remaining paid orders on Wednesday, international and CONUS. So if you have paid your shipping invoice your package is on its way. I haven't had time to sit down and send out PM's with tracking info yet.

Finally got around to sending out tracking numbers for all the international orders. International buyers, if you've paid your invoice and don't have a PM from me containing a tracking number, let me know.

This means that every single buyer has been sent an invoice via email (CONUS) or GeekHack PM (international), and everyone who had paid their invoice as of Wednesday last week, your keycaps are on their way. So all that remains to do is to chase down the remaining buyers who have not paid their invoice yet to make sure they got it.

This week I am returning to work after a week's vacation. With all the catch-up I have to do at work, plus the fact that it's a short week, I'm going to have to table that project until the following week.

Glad to see some international sets starting to land, even if it's just the 51st state (Canada). You guys waited this whole time without even the mistake sets to hold you over.

Also nice to see some pics of the keycaps in place on boards. I haven't even gotten around to trying out my own corrected sets yet. Hopefully soon.

Here's one I took of mine with Xerox DocuTech/6085 PBT caps and AW mods w/ a Tai Hao space bar. Eclectic, I know. :P

I played with a few sets for this one. :P

Here's the straight AW set though. :D

Apologies for the out-of-the-blue first post here..

Q: Is it possible to buy an international order spot if there are any remaining / unpaid / up for sale?

I'm in the UK, have a KBP V60 Matias on order and finding ALPS sets is proving impossible (as I'm sure the fellow Alpers here can understand).

Again, I know it's beyond late to jump on the GB but I have to try my luck.

Cheers, Chris.

I'm pretty sure when my V60 arrives in a couple days I'll have to just pull the trigger  :D

OK, now that sticker is a great idea. I love the way the blue looks with the silver. Gives me some ideas for my HHKB plate.

I got my keys last week. Glad to finally have them in hand.

I'm in the same position and also from the UK funnily enough. Just wanted to check if there were any extras still available? Sorry if this has been mentioned already in the previous 24 pages.

Yep, skullydazed was a huge factor in making this buy happen at the highest MOQ, and along with everyone else, he was incredibly patient with me regarding delivery times. He took a lot of risk to shell out for such a high number of sets, and I think his pricing is very fair.

Personally, I would love to own a Clueboard one day. I might sell something else to make that happen.

I'm in love with mine. Still have no idea how to program it, but having it in the layout I want with Orange Alps is dynamite.

I ended up putting my Alpine caps on one of Hasu's 60% boards, but I also have a Clueboard fitted with quiet Matias switches. I gotta say, the Clueboard is a big hit with everyone who sees it. Even my pop wants me to build one for him!

Where in the hell am I going to find the time?!?!?!

Picked up my Clueboard delivery from the Post Office this morning, £30 customs charge

Anywho, quick glance at them when I got to the office, they do look so nice, especially the alphas, it's a really cool tint of silvery white.

Sadly I need to hold off fitting them, as I'm on the hunt for a matching 60% aluminium case and I'd like to do both swaps in the same session.

Soon though, soon..

PSA Reminder: prep your Alps stems with a razor blade before mounting. Badwrench made a video on how to do this a while back:

This will make your life easier, and in some cases prevent broken caps.

Nope. Not any time soon, anyway. The time commitment is just too great.

When I started this buy I had a lot of discretionary time. But then we hit delays due to production issues with Signature Plastics, and real life kept going on. I moved my family into a new home, a fixer-upper which required a lot of work; there were health issues in my extended family which kept us tied up; and my work situation changed, requiring in excess of 50 hours per week. Alpine Winter became just one more thing I didn't have time to focus on, and the participants are the ones who suffered for it. Even now that all the sets are shipped out (save a few buyers who haven't responded to my PMs), I still feel incredibly guilty that I let this go as long as I did. Personally, if I were someone else, I don't think I would trust njbair with my money again. At least not for a while.

I have got the Alpine winter keycaps, however does anyone have a ISO plate design? Im not 100% sure on the spacing needed... The bit I am not sure on is the 90 degree rotated stem matching up with the Cherry stabs.

Cheers,

Here's the straight AW set though. :D

What cases are those?

Glad to see some international sets starting to land, even if it's just the 51st state (Canada). You guys waited this whole time without even the mistake sets to hold you over.

Also nice to see some pics of the keycaps in place on boards. I haven't even gotten around to trying out my own corrected sets yet. Hopefully soon.

Here's one I took of mine with Xerox DocuTech/6085 PBT caps and AW mods w/ a Tai Hao space bar. Eclectic, I know. :P

+1 on what those cases are- searching for a good 60% case that's high profile and doesn't have an obnoxious angle.

Well Ive hit a speedbump in my installation..

These caps have MX stabilizer holes.. my KBP V60 Matias uses Costar stabs with Alps-style inserts:

Im guessing I can just get MX versions of those little sliders?

You can get Costar stabilizer inserts, but the existing wires won't work. Right now the prevailing solution is to bend your own stab wires.

Only the right shift wire has an issue. All the other wires work.

Well I've ordered a dozen or so of these http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_30076.html probably worth having some spares anyway. I'll see how they wires do
once they arrive.

Impressed with the caps though, I've knifed the stems of all the caps I'm using and they fit into my test switch much easier now. I've also re-case my V60 into an aluminium case while I had the chance, it's bloody heavy now!

99% done - you were correct about the right-shift, I need to find or make a new stab wire, so I've just fitted the cap without it for now.

I got the MX-style stab inserts delivered next day (shout out to Kustom PCs in the UK, they sell little things like this and cable combs etc for really cheap and ship them same day). I'm not completely set on the feel of the stabilised switches though, I think the feel could be improved so that's something I'll look into.

Happy with the caps though, they feel nice, and they all fit fine after shaving the stems, no issues there at all.

Does anyone know where these nav cluster keys with legends came from? As far as I know, those were not part of the group buy:

Probably from skullydazed. He sold some Alpine Winter kits which included extra keys to make it compatible for the Clueboard.
I missed the boat on them due to lack of funds at the time so now I have to find the elusive Alpine Winter: Clueboard Edition keysets aftermarket.  :'(

Jeez, my focus was elsewhere when that happened; I completely missed it. Good to know though.
