I am  what one could call a Torah Fan. Without going into too much 'religious' speak, I am passionate about Israel. As such, I am working on some keycaps that will feature symbols and cultural icons regarding many aspects of Israel. Coin symbology, flag concepts, tribe names in Hebrew, as well as the Almighty's Hebrew name will all be considered as I create keycap concepts. The option to do an actual Hebrew keycap set will only be if I can get some real help doing it. My primary interest is novelty keycaps. If you would like to see keycaps that will be of a Judaic or Hebrew nature, please sound off, and provide pics of things you would like to see, etc. All input and feedback is not only welcome, but is certainly requested and respected. Mock ups will be provided as I work on this project, but only if enough interest is generated.

Pictographic, Paleo, and Modern Hebrew of the Almighty's name, most recognizable should be the bottom Modern Hebrew characters...I know this is not a mock up, but will at least get the old noggins going as to look. Some others:

60114-0

60116-1

60121-2

60118-3

60120-4

I would like a YAHWEH cap for sure. However It's written in Hebrew.

Technically, it should be YHWH.

I think you should do the numberpad set in a different colour and with Arabic script, then sell it as the "Occupied Territory" kit.

:)

I'll be here all week, folks.  Please tip your servers.

Okay, so what I am getting from the reaction so far is probably just a limited number, maybe 5 different caps or so. Talk about affordable...

Oh, I am planning for this to be an SP Double-Shot group buy...

PBT Dye-Sub likely, since the legends are good as is, and don't need to much diddling with to make them into double shots...

How sad...all the more reason to have these keycaps produced...

how dare this world to try to silence one language...

In Malaysian, how do you write 'I am that I am?'

it's not about silencing one language...more like they are against anything concerning Christianity. (on a side note, they would silent anything or anyone who goes against them)
I am that I am, hmm, probably "Saya adalah Saya" ?

Don't go there. Religious fanatics and the worst kinds of bigots rule Malaysia. It's basically no different from the Jim Crow deep south or apartheid era South Africa. If you put anything that resembles a verse from the Koran or anything that might remotely offend Muslims (and there's a heck lot of things that offend Muslims because they pay their religious police to specifically look for un-Islamic things), it could be impounded.

Schindler's List is banned in Malaysia because they hate anything that portray Jews as victims, btw.
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't the language in Malaysia a character language like Chinese or Japanese?

erm, no...the main language is Bahasa Malaysia (literally means Malaysia language), which is very similar to Indonesian language.
the character-like language, is normally taught in their religious school or subject.

Well, I don't really know what your motivation is for doing this, but I suspect it is not innocent.  Also, how are you going to get around the prohibition found in Deut. 12:3 of writing the name of G*D in a casual or frivolous manner, or one that can be destroyed or cast away?  If you are a religious person, you would never write the name of G*D on your keyboard.  If you are just a goof-ball, then I guess it's excusable because you have no ill-intent, because you don't understand the meaning of what you are doing anyway.  If you are doing this to insult religious people, well then you are just a hate-filled bigot, and I feel sorry for you.

Whoa...not the reaction I intended. His name is to be proclaimed, not hidden. I am sorry that you feel that it what 'taking His name in vain' means. It simply means that if one is to swear his/her life to Him and His calling, then he/she better do what He asks of them. In much the same way a soldier is to uphold the oath to his own country, and not completely betray his oath by becoming a suicide bomber for another. That would be taking his country's name in vain, so to speak.

I do not wish to trivialize His name, much more the opposite. I love His name, and love how He is able to save; just like He saved us by leading us with a high hand coming out of Egypt. (By the way, God is not a name.) I can debate the Written Torah (that is the 5 books of Moshe, and not the Talmud or Mishna) all day, but this is hardly the place to do it. I don't mind discussing this further in PM or email.

To all who read, I do not mean for the keycaps to demean, trivialize, or else insult anyone's religious affiliations or dogmas; I am simply sharing my passion for the people of Israel (Yisrael) with others who may want Hebrew inspired keycaps. Which, if I can't at least proclaim His name on a keycap, then there would be no sense in making keycaps that bear His language...
