Definitely looks interesting. However, I think I would have preferred if it was a straight up SoWaRe replica.

I was just trying to come up with something catchy. Obviously not going to catch on.

It's Soware through and through

I don't get this...
Why ruin a perfect Dolch design and mix it...
If it's soware I would surely get it though font would be hard to read....

I'm getting in just for those mods. I'll probably replace alphas with the GMK Cyan feng set that will eventually exist.

Total pass for me at this point I think dolch is getting boring. I'd buy it if it was a Soware replica.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

Yea, I'm staring at my dolch board and trying to visualize the legends as blue and, the mods seem like they'd be cool, but the alphas just seem like they'd be hideous.

There seems to be a lot of similar designs right now either Shipping,in GB or in IC phase. I jumped on this right away but now after reading the comments from photekq and others and actually really looking at it I'm seeing some stuff I don't like. I really hope this is not the final mock up but as LastP said the set definitely has some stuff I would love to cannibalise for other sets. It has promise but seems it was birthed prematurely

Damn knee jerk keyboard purchases....

The all caps "CTRL"  legends on the 1.5 mods seem weird. Are there other issues I'm not seeing? What is so offensive?

the fact that the 1.5 mods are R5 sucks too. doesn't match the arrows or the numpad bottom

I see some issues with this. MD really needs to step up their game or have Originative stop working with them. This is only an assumption, but they seem to have been recently working with them, and if Originative is helping out it might explain why it looks so ****y

Apparently thus guy: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/3fbykj/buying_gmk_sky_dolch_massdrop/ctnccnl

I'm having a hard time seeing what is so bad about the set. I agree the profile of the 1.5 mods is a little strange. Personally, I've had enough Dolch that I'm not really that attracted to the color scheme. But, I'm not really understanding the angry vibe. Is it just cause it's Massdrop and there wasn't an IC?

Well for the past few weeks I have been talking to Christoph about getting a SoWaRe replica set or a set inspired by SoWaRe at least! If people are still interested I can continue on my planning for running this group buy, otherwise I can drop it and let MD run a crappy version.  :p  Alternatively, I could run an add-on pack for this Sky Dolch set, which would have the rgby kit. Feel free to pm me one way or the other so I can get a feel of what the community would prefer.

The extra modifiers are definitely not well thought out. I don't know why people insist on having partial-R5 layouts and/or partial R4 layouts with GMK sets. These are $120 keysets, it's tough to justify a "kinda fits". Penny wise, pound foolish.

And byker, run the real SoWaRe for GMK.

Honestly I don't think a GMK set without GH hype will get to MOQ in 16 days. If MD were smart they'd start marketing these big MOQ drops (like the alps caps) on the forums prior to dropping.

Not only are colors off but mod keys as well are an odd choice to say the least.

Bunny has shown us with Hyperfuse what the perfect set looks like with support for 75%, HHKB and 1800

I really hope this drop doesn't succeed but I'm thinking it will. Would much prefer a genuine SoWaRe replica to this

I am noticing how much hate Sky Dolch is getting here, and I don't understand why. Is it because it's a "big" company like Massdrop?
I personally like Sky Dolch and probably will get GMK Dolch here too.
