It's the last Filco keyboard I bought(about 3months) and I've tried it for several times and it didn't grow on me.
The total usage is definitely less than a week since I switch keyboards about every 2 days. The blue Filco never lasted 2 days.

Picked up a black filco ninja TKL with blacks on Amazon. Keyboard appears to be in very good condition with all of the accessories and original packaging. I don't think black switches are for me, after trying it a bit today, my hands feel like I've been doing finger push-ups. I'm looking into replacing the switches (I own an iron and a solder sucker, only used it once), or just going with ghetto reds if switching springs doesn't require soldering.

I've for a Das Keyboard Professional with media keys (Blues) bought in 5/2010. It's well maintained and just has some shiny keys. I've recently bought newer keycaps (37 blanks from wasd keyboards) three months ago. The keyboard has media control keys which seems to only have been a limited thing. Ideally I'd like to switch to a TKL board with blues. Tired of that numpad yo.I think you could maybe get roughly $50-$60 for it. The recent sales of Rosewills for $60 drove down the demand for blue boards, but some people may be after the media keys.

Dye sub cherry made rgb is around 100, if you find somebody.

a board that's lost a lot of rivets requires repair. otherwise, cosmetic condition and vintage are really the determinants.

How much are old FACIT typewriters worth, either mechanical or electrical? Someone near my old folks has like ten of them, some of which are digital and record on tape. The profile of the case is uncomfortable, higher than the standard. I saw them on eBay for $70, but I found BNIB at thrift store for $4.

2) lsusb (compare against 0)
3) dmesg (look for your device)
4) Try different usb port and cable(retry 0-3)
5) Try different computer and port (retry 0-3)
NOTE: I do not think is this but you never know. Take a look at /etc/udev/rules.d directory, make sure that you are not defining a particular rule for your hhkb. You can take a look at this site for some extra info. http://www.reactivated.net/writing_udev_rules.html
If you still not been able to see your keyboard, I guess something in the electronics is bad.
P.S Some guys made the tenssy modification already, it may be possible that they may consider selling the hhkb controller.
Did you try to resolder the USB connector? Mine started causing problems after 3 or 4 years. It started to drop connection if I move around the keyboard. I fixed it by touching the solder joint of the usb connector with hot iron and the problems went away. The mini-usb connectors in general are not that strong, so it could be that the connector is broken.
If the board is working again, I would value it around $150~180. That is how much I would want if I sold mine. If it cannot be fixed, probably $50~100? There is a lot of uncertainty as to what is wrong with the busted HHKB. If replacing the controller is going to fix the problem, then $100 seems to be fair given that condition of the caps are great shape.

I have a friend who somehow managed to shock both of his Das Keyboards (MX Brown) keyboards and now certain keys don't work. He is going to try and fix at least one of them but he is curious as to how much he could make off of the switches, cables, and keycaps.Das's and browns are fairly common- and broken ones demand even less. The keycaps, if well used, are not worth much, maybe $20. The switches, maybe about the same, if he desoldered them all. Maybe $30-$40 tops. The rest of it? Probably better off saving it for some silly projects in the future.
He has owned them for about a year and a half. His work one has seen a lot of use (Shiney Keycaps) but his home one is still in really good condition (Less shiney, but still kind of shiney).

As a general rule of thumb I have found that one can usually get a buyer for a lightly used keyboard with a 20% discount off of an online retail price. Well, since you can find these on sale for $65 shipped brand new, and the person who buys it will have to pay around $15 in shipping to get it from you, I would say around $20 plus shipping would be fair for a parts board. The pad printed ABS key caps aren't going to fetch much, if anything, so really the only value here is for the switches, which will have to be desoldered.
Did you spill something on it? Did the USB connector fall off?

You see, the fact is, we wouldn't mind if they didn't make up some lame excuse.
If they just stated plainly that they were selling it, or in this case, asking how much it would sell for, we wouldn't care so much. But instead, these resellers, more often than not, both on GH and DT, create some type of explanation why they might have to sell it. If it is a legitimate reason, it's understandable, but again, those are few and far between. I am not trying to give the man a hard time, just humbly asking him to say it like it is, that he wants the money. I mean you can tell from the pictures provided what the KeyCap looks like... so saying that you don't like the look of it is a superficial excuse.

Because it hurts us as a community every time someone does this, that's why. We're not whining or complaining because we couldn't get one at cost, and now someone is selling for the highest bid. We are trying to keep this community free from rampant profiteering. We should be helping each other, rather than trying to make a profit off of another member, even if that member is willing to pay. Join discussions, design new ideas, create something, help noobs learn about this hobby. All of that is what this community is about. Not making a quick buck because of limited supply and high demand.
From what I've seen it doesen't matter if people come up with a lame excuse or not, it's more of, "Oh, you are a senior member, sell your clacks for $100 each" or "Oh, you're just some new guy who bought a clack to re-sell it, if you sell it for more than $10 I'm going to continually harrass you until you do." Which is why people make up 'lame excuses' to hopefully alleviate people continually attacking them for selling something that THEY own. This guy didn't even come up with some stupid excuse like "Oh my fish has cancer, I need to sell stuff for fish chemotherapy" he straight up said he wanted to sell it because he didn't like it, then when someone complained about him wanting to auction it, he just made an offhand comment about how he's poor, probably trying to just lighten the mood, but instead you guys are using it against him claiming hes only selling for the money, which why else do people sell things.........I disagree. His explanation of not "liking how it looked" was a very lame excuse. You can clearly see in the images provided how the Clack looks before you buy it. I got a brand new filco Majestouch 2 Ninja Cherry red tenkeyless for Christmas... I decided I still liked my brown better so I moved the ninja caps to the MX brown.
Now I have a new pristine cherry red keyboard with no key caps is it worth anything ?
I guess I could ship it with the original brown caps but a few are missing and they wouldn't be pristine like they keyboard itself
I say for brand new but no caps, retail price -$20.

Get a older 149 with semi flex on the nib it will definitely be better for calligraphy. Not so much of a fan of the porcelain I was going to get one myself but played with one in person and didnt really do it for me, I would rather get myself another 149 then that but thats just me.

As for the rgb set, I think it would depend on which set from SP.
Mimic cables are pretty dope so I imagine you could prolly get just about what you payed for it depending on condition.

Hm, Poker is about $15, switches add $30, your plate an easy $40, so I'm gonna throw a value of ~$125-$175 on it considering the market, recent availability of Poker PCBs, and your time. Especially with those tricky stickers and lubing takes forever.

Yes. One mounts only on a plate and the other on a PCB that has holes to support PCB mount cherry stabilizers

NIB Focus 2001, with the clear plastic dust cover yours is missing, have been going for about $50 shipped or less. That one seems to be well used. ALPS keycap sets don't sell for much if at all here. Sorry. :(
Rather than as an investment, you should use that board to type on. White clicky ALPS are fun to use. There's a reason why those Focus boards were popular back in the late 80's/early 90's.

Sounds like a Rebel Red Alert set. Does it have the contrasting white on red number row with Isotherm font? OTD "hand" keycaps? How many keycaps are there, in total? Around 170? Can you post a picture?
A full Rebel Red Alert set, with all the colorway options and experimental keys can fetch a healthy sum. I paid something like $210 for mine.
Not sure about anyone else, but I would never separate mine from the Rebel RA set.

Exact model names go a long way in helping give prices. Same with whether the part has been overclocked at all, what voltages it took for the overclock, the clock speed it was at, and what stepping the CPU is. For example, a C3 stepping 965 is generally worth a little more than a C2 since they tend to overclock better. You also need to say how many sticks it is for the 16GB. Is it two sticks or four sticks? What brand 5770 and what heatsink? What brand HDD? What model case?
Are you trying to sell it as one complete computer or piece it out? If the former, you need to include the motherboard model.
When you're super vague about it and don't provide pictures, it's very difficult to give a price.

All of these are factors which affect the price. I'd say only bid if you are okay with missing a keycap, don't plan to use the legs, and want a fairly clean model M.
If you're okay with doing a bit of cleaning, other (dirtier) model M's can be had for less, but if it's at 30 GBP now, I imagine it'll go higher. I don't really follow the UK ebay for IBM prices, but I have got several model M's on the US ebay for ~ $30

That's the thing. How can we make an estimated value when people won't sell them, or at least sell them publicly? The only I've seen around were for trading, and the trade value seems to indicate they hold them at a higher value than $8-12.Take a look in the classifieds. There are some there right now. I understand that trade value =/= cash value. Like I said I was just looking for a very general cash value.
lost eden, G80-3000H*MGB market value around $75 for average to $125 for excellent condition, though some people may pay the same price for the keycaps alone. If you go that route you can usually sell the naked board for $25-30. The clears aren't really worth any more per se, but might be to specific buyer. 11800 are not worth a lot, usually something like $20-30.
ISO winkeyless 1800 would be your best fit obviously. There are some other boards like the Alcatel MMK which have those keys and windowed keys but it have a fulltouch caps not stepped. There are some more obscure models as well, but it would be a wild goose chase to even bother making a list probably as I have not seen them for sale ever.
G80-1501HAD is probably the easiest model to find with windowed lock keys, on ebay.de pretty often.
Those dark blue legends are pretty odd Mashby. They looks like black on grey to me, although it might just be the lighting in the photos. Imsto sells these colours (http://www.aikb.cn/image/lt/%E5%8A%A0%E5%8E%9A%E9%94%AE%E5%B8%BD%E9%A2%9C%E8%89%B2%E6%A0%B7%E6%9D%BF.jpg) for $86. The 60% from the group buy costs about $15. Switches will run up to $30 for a 60%. Stabilizers will be about $6-9.
Total will come out to be $55 if you do not need a plate.

Most recent boards I have found with what I would class as vintage era MX switch from 1991-2. Vintage blues should still be clicky though they are a bit softer but not white soft, they are just less rough feeling than todays.

I've been thinking about it. They have a decent amount of shine and the spacebar, enter key, and backspace don't work on a modern keyboard (and the ctrl & alt modifiers are the 1.5x size). Every other keycap does though.

If they are new vintage switch, maybe they are worth more... but I agree for used switch, it is a used switch and should be priced accordingly not considerably more as you can often pick up grimy old WY30-60 models off ebay for cheap which pretty much has vintage in them every time.

I'm thinking of selling my 6GV2 with MX Blacks for spares.If you're happy with the board and just want something with reds you could just swap the springs for some 62g springs from originativeco.com. These are very similar to springs from reds and would be practically exactly the same. The would involve desoldering and resoldering but would probably work out much, much cheaper than buying a new board.
Hopefully going to be upgrading it to something with Reds but i don't want this to go to waste.
Think it'd be better just to sell them as switches? If i learn how to desolder them etc.

Oh just the display box, probably not a huge deal to most people, shouldn't effect the value really. So like I said before you should probably be able to break even on the Ducky 78 or pretty close to it since it was a limited edition.;)Thanks a lot

I've got a mint (unboxed) Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite UK, I've seen it mentioned a few times on here, just wondering if these are worth anything?
I've got a used Razer Blackwidow (retail at $99), with a little bit of shine on the space bar, and the cabling, near the termination point at the keyboard end, came twisted from the factory. Unfortunately, I play in a recliner with keyboard in my lap, so after about 5 months lifting it to my lap and placing it back, the twist turned into a short. About once every two days, bending the cable the wrong end near the base, I get a BSOD.
Definitely a cable issue, and an absolutely great keyboard otherwise.

I must've sent it a second to late at the most. Which is just amazing to me. It just adds to the allure.

$60 or so for that blue thick PBT set sounds reasonable.

I would say $180 is the least amount I would sell it for, but seeing as how much work you've put into it $210 sounds like a good price to me. That would of course depend on how used it is and if it comes with caps or not?

Datamini looks like same thing as Chicony 51X1 MX version. Those usually go for around $30-45, but really you could probably get more out of the switches alone removed cleanly from the keyboard.

It would also depend on the switches. But, it would still be in the $125-$140 price range. Photoelectric is trying to sell a brown for $125 right now but the case is painted (very well I might add). So for a quick sale you might be looking at $110.
The market is a little down right now....I think to many people are waiting for the GH60 project to be complete.

It would also depend on the switches. But, it would still be in the $125-$140 price range. Photoelectric is trying to sell a brown for $125 right now but the case is painted (very well I might add). So for a quick sale you might be looking at $110.
The market is a little down right now....I think to many people are waiting for the GH60 project to be complete.
