Title: [WTB/WTTF] Juki Celavi FK-212 Spare Parts/Chassis (No Caps)
Post by: E3E on Thu, 02 July 2015, 12:32:14
Looking for:

(https://auctions.c.yimg.jp/images.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/image/dr000/auc0201/users/299a6d87526df97331f10d86674ac8f2cdf93add/i-img640x480-16110106998ca3l724653.jpg)

So, several Juki Celavi showed up on Yahoo Auctions around a year back.

I'm interested in buying the spare parts of an FK-212 which had shown up then. Most purchased these for their caps exclusively, and if that's the case, I'd like to buy the chassis off of you.

LMK! Thanks.

I just finished having my GON assembled by someone in the US and it will be sent to me some time next week. I have 2 sets of feet and might not need them both. When they get here I can send you some pictures if you might be interested.

Bump and focus change. Looking for a Duck Pad!

I'm assuming you want a Duck Pad to match your Octagon but winkeyless.kr (http://winkeyless.kr) has the B Pad which only costs about $90 or so if you get it assembled with all the options except for lubed and stickered switches. It looks pretty damn cool and it definitely caught my eye, I'm planning on putting together one for my next project unless I find a better alternative. Sprit is selling gold stabs with an option to get a 7u wire as well, I just bought the PCB mounted ones for my RS96. Best of luck to you in your search for the Duck Pad.

Hey Steezus, I appreciate all the info here. Winkeyless' shop is one I am heavily considering ordering from for another build, but you are right that I'm trying to find a match for my Octagon. I do love the sandwich style of the less limited Korean customs myself though.

Thanks for the headsup on SPRiT. I ordered from him before, but the second time I filled out a form, he never got back to me. I assume it was just a bad time for him. I'll try him again.  :thumb:

Hey again, Durvid. We talked on reddit, haha. Nah, I'm looking for a white DCS bar in particular, though I'm going to wager a guess that the only ones available would be from certain DCS keyset GBs, and even then, I'm not sure if any had a 6u space bar option.

Oh, hello. I noticed some of your posts when I was doing research on the Dell boards. It seems that many of them are not thick PBT and are thin, but some of the earlier models do have PBT caps that are around AEK thickness. So not ungodly thick, but still well above average.

Yes sir, I am! However, I'm trying to piece together a complete set of thick PBT caps that can cover every layout for the Duck Eagle build have planned. I've already got ANSI WKL covered from a Dell AT101 w/ salmon alps. The IBM would be for the HHKB layout, and AFAIK, there are no options for the standard windows layout.

As far as I know, only the Wang has a windowed PBT caps lock key. Zenith Z-150s do too, but it'd be the wrong profile if I used those. Not sure of any others.

what are pledge modded clear tops? Never heard of that

The pledge mod is soaking Gateron clear switch tops in Pledge Future Shine/FloorCare to remove imperfections on the surface and make them appear more transparent. Pledge was used for similar projects in the scale model community AFAIK, and so it was applied to these tops with the same logic.

They're kind of irrelevant these days because there hasn't been a GB for clear switch tops in about a year or so, and Gateron now ships switches with black bottoms and clear tops as opposed to the cloudy translucent switches that were standard at the time.

The switches in the Octagon v1 are vintage blacks though, just with Gateron tops. All large logo.
