After the amazing response to the interest checks I've been bombarding you all with, I thought I'd get this order form up as soon as possible!

In short, I aim to place an order for the Europeans among us and have it delivered to me. From here, I'll forward your items to you. This is cheaper than individual shipping. There is a discount on top of this, too. Ideally, we will place an order for at least 10 keyboards. Be aware that the shipping price for European shipping is a worst-case value. For a lot of people, it will be less (e.g. shipping to France is only €22, visit https://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk for quotes).

You don't have to order a keyboard, either. If you were after accessories, these can be ordered on their own at a reduced price (and cheaper shipping than quoted on the order form e.g. O-Rings would be shipped direct from WASD at $7.10). This includes custom keycap sets: for these, please provide an Imgur link in the additional items section of the form with the layout you want.

There will be a flat rate discount of 10% on all items for any non-Europeans among us who still want to be involved. Your items will be sent direct by WASD at their listed shipping prices.

This will run for a few weeks yet. If all of the items requested are in stock, the order will be placed sooner rather than later. If not, we must wait until WASD restock in mid-August. Invoices will go out around this time. Prices on the invoice could be slightly less than those quoted on the order form.

Hi, your form says import taxs for UK/EU are included, but how can you be sure there won't be any additionnal custom fee's ?

By importing to the UK, an import tax of 20% is paid which is recognized by all countries within the EU. No duty is paid either as keyboards are exempt. Obviously I can't guarantee this and it may be worth checking your local Gov website

You should also check whether personal/commercial imports are any different in terms of procedures

Most customs laws are roughly the same, if there is a personal/commercial difference in UK too, they are definitely going to mark your import as commercial, in that case it might be more challenging to import them

Just calling the customs office nearest to you and asking what happens when you try to import 20 keyboards is a good idea

I emailed HMRC (UK revenue and customs). Private and trade appear to be dealt with the same. There is a 20% VAT rate and import duty is 0% for keyboards.

my only time i ordered from WASD directly to slovakia, i was also charged a 32 euro import fee, they apparently regarded my board as "electronics". ****heads @ customs.

i'm kinda on the fence about those clear tbh, i really wanted to try them, but i'm not sure right now....

Wowza. Well, here in the UK, computer keyboards aren't charged a duty fee. Just the 20% import! Still a substantial amount.

Thanks a bunch for organizing this. For those of us who ordered out-of-stock items like clear or green switches, is there any way to find out what the ETA is from WASD? Will we get an order number that we can follow up with them with?

The keyboards are sent via sea so the timescales WASD can provide are vague. They reckon mid-August for most items to arrive but they have your email address and they'll be in touch to sort this out.

On a side note, this GB has been quite a rollercoaster. I'd like to thank everybody who's gotten involved or offered me any advice. One thing I will take away from it, though... FEES!

Card fees, transaction fees, currency conversion fees, PayPal fees, duty fees... I'm about £100 personally out of pocket. But it'll be worth it to see a few V2 and Code posts in the coming weeks ;-)
