I'm asking, what stops someone from doing that in "raffle" type buys?

I make 5 unique emails with 5 different IPs with a new geekhack account on each IP. I could be 4 people in this thread just role playing, talking to myself. How do you know?

I think your questions about raffle styled buys could be better posted in another thread or forum, since this IC thread is meant for the discussion and questions about the board. If you have any questions about these types of buys feel free to look through the GB section rules for more info. If someone really wants to go through the trouble to make 5 accounts, 5 ips and talk to themselves come shipping invoice it's a simple matter of refunding that order, and there are bigger problems if someone wants to drop so much money.  If this is something that irritates you greatly, you are welcome to not join the buy, since this TKL was meant to be a private buy at first and your attitude does not help any of us here.
I shouldnt post in the middle of the night ha. My bad man. Love the board
All good buddy, that was a weird tangent to take though :P

PCB:

We're doing a custom PCB, working with yuktsi on this so it won't fit A.87 unfortunately since we're reducing the size of it slightly.

Poly:

Nope on that, poly melts too quickly and the screw holes get threaded/worn out really fast.

On the buy:

I'm currently shipping out some Canoes from that buy, so once that is over I'll be able to give a more concrete date, but as of now I'm aiming to get this started in about 2 weeks. In the meantime, we're looking to reduce the colours offered but increase the quantity and maybe do a FCFS / general GB on monokei. Maybe say, 100 units for TKL and 50 numpads or something like that.

In terms of plate options it should be the same as all KIRA buys, so brass/poly/alu.

Do note that the matte grey was a proto finish and did not feel good, so it would probably look more like the previous KIRAs.

Not at the moment since it's TKL, should be easy to find wrist rests.

Yup, it feels kinda weird, like some anti-slippery surface. There is resistance when sliding your fingers over it, but not due to roughness. It's hard to describe.

Just out of curiousity is the PCB from the EXS also done by TGR Keyboards

Registered just for this.

Question, this will just be the kit with no switches included, correct? Will this need soldering to assemble?

Apologize if that's a dumb question. Only bought keycaps before, never keyboard kits.

You will need to source the switches, stabilizers and keycaps separately to complete the build. Soldering is required for the switches.

Back on track regarding this IC: so is that poly Kira I see on insta a one off? Just wanted to confirm if decisions were changed regarding the use of poly.

So just a heads-up, we have about 200 people who filled up the form, maybe some dupes here and there so it's closer to 180.

I'm trying to get a few additional things confirmed before the GB starts, so apologies if this looks delayed. It will be well worth it :)

Here's how the numpad would look like:

Well, if you're experimenting, I think this might be an overly expensive way to do it. Maybe start out with a cheap used TKL and solder in some MX black in place of what it comes with? That will also give you practice in soldering.
