Please ignore my ignorance but would a Moogle still be useful for a G80 or not?  Yes I am that slow when it comes to Moogles, because I do know they are for every other keyboard out there but generally not for the Original Cherry (depends which model)  :-\ .

But for WYSE, a moogle is almost always a necessity with any keyboard, since they were mostly terminal boards, and the mods have strange sizes, or simply don't exist.

Thank you JD.  Much appreciated, always helping the ignorant and lazy in figuring out the basics with Keyboard Design  ;D .

Would increase cost by few bucks...anyone opposed to doing both?

When you say "both", do you mean:

1. Full touch and center stemmed stepped caps locks, or
2. Full touch and off-center stemmed stepped caps locks?

If off-center stepped, why would this need to be in the moogle if it's already in the tsangan? I don't know a lot about Cherry boards, are there some that use the off-center stemmed caps lock and standard keys everywhere else? I thought they also needed the 1.75 R Shift that is also included with tsangan kit and maybe some odd sized bottom row mods?

If it's not much more, I would be all about adding an extra center-stemmed stepped caps lock. Wouldn't mind adding the ~` key either while we're at it :p

I don't really need more off-center stemmed caps locks, but I doubt they would add much to the cost of the kit, so I would be fine with that too if it helps people with compatibility.

Talked to Boost....whiskytango makes a good point that this is a MOOGLE which is designed to retro-fit a standard ANSI board.  Aint nobody got time for an off-center stepped and if you need it get a tsangan.

We agreed that we should do a Center Stemmed Stepped Caps AND a Center Stemmed Flat Caps.

This will increase the cost by a few bucks, but will give everyone the option.

If anyone strongly objects to this decision, please PM me.

The moogle only includes keys to fit an standard ANSI layout that are not included with an old WYSE set. Look at the list of keys included in this moogle which are listed in the first post. Then look at your keyboard and note which keys on your keyboard are not listed as being part of the moogle. Those are the keys you need besides the moogle. If your bottom row uses the 1.5 mods and 7x spacebar, you will also need a tsangan kit in addition to the moogle. See this link. The leftovers from that group buy are available at techkeys.us

You will also need to source an old set of WYSE keys as well for the alphas and other modifiers not included in the moogle or tsangan (Such as the 9 keys above the arrows which are included with some but not all types of old wyse boards)

If the point is to make it look like a match for WYSE should the key not look like an original set would?  If there was no such key then blank makes sense to me.  A modern logo on a "period" keyset is wrong, like a raygun in a western movie.  On the other hand, rather than a blank, has anyone done "geekhack" in the WYSE font for that key?  OS/technology agnostic but not plain.

I thought we would hit higher tiers, but looking at the original GB by Quarzac, there seems to be about the same, maybe slightly fewer people that participated in the first one. So WYSE demand is about the same, but SP's pricing has gone up?
