Cordial welcome to geekhack.
« on: Sun, 18 January 2015, 08:01:49 »
Hey, just thought I should get a bit more involved in this site, as I am getting myself pretty deep into the mechanical keyboard rabbit hole.

I own a das ultimate with browns, and am looking into building a second and third keyboard, one tenkeyless, one full.

I know that the sculpted/printed/molded keycap market is starting to fill up very quickly.
Nonetheless I've started sculpting some designs, will post them when I have enough designs for it to be worth it.

If you play DOTA2 in Aus, feel free to add me, username is the same.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Although we have exchanged a few PMs already :))

Serves me right for not going thru New Members sooner :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
