best "floating design" TKL keyboards?
« on: Mon, 16 January 2017, 08:58:07 »
can you guys help me find out which ones there are?

requirements:

- TKL form factor
- floating key case design
- cherry type stabs (with correct spacebar stem spacing)
- standard bottom row
- as few logo plastering all over that thing as possible

those are so that the board is completely compatible with aftermarket caps, especially with thick ones (that rules out costar stabs because of key grinding)

so far i only know of

- nixeus moda v2
- noppoo lolita spyder

upcoming
- pc gaming race TKL (supposed to be "early" 2017, but there has not been any news since like november)
- Input Club K-Type (no idea when they plan to release this)

frankly, i don't want to wait, so i am looking into alternatives for this kind floating design.

all inputs are appreciated.

The Zhuque has branding that he may not like.

That being said I'm also waiting for the K-Type/Glorious TKL to be released.  If I don't hear something soon I may get that instead.

can you link the exact ebay seller who sells varmilos with a standard spacebar spacing and cherry stabs? mine had costar stabs and it originally had non standard spacing, so i had to replace the stabilizer wire.

All I know is that Massdrop talked to Varmilo and had them fix the spacing. That was as late as summer 2015.
