About the Set
The theme is simple enough: taro bubble tea. I was drinking some one day and thinking about how much I liked the color and it dawned on me that it might make for a pretty good looking keyset. The purple tones were nice but I thought it needed something more, so I went with cyan and yellow accents, which represent the crazy-colored straws that most boba places have.
This set will be cherry profile, produced by GMK, using good old doubleshot ABS. The purple colors will be custom, hex codes of #8E71A2 and #170B19, the cyan and yellow are TU2 and CV from GMK.

Pricing
Pricing is as follows:
Base (at 250 moq): $155
Spacebars (at 100/150/250 moq): $30/$28/$24
Novelties (at 250 moq): $20
Shipping will be $10 Conus. Panc.co will be handling non-EU as well as non-CN orders, our current estimate is that shipping will be roughly $26 for those customers.
GMK's current lead time is roughly 14 weeks, so with time taken to nail the colors, current estimated shipping is sometime in June.

I had to join for the delicious colors. I really hope the alphas will retain their powdery muted warm lavender color. Seems like quite a few GMK sets start out with more muted renders and end up with more vibrant (dare I say garish in some cases) colors once the actual plastic is mixed and molded. (P.S.: the GAF caps show a more blue-lavender compared to the renders--hopefully it's just the difference in white balance).

and yeah render accuracy is a persistent issue in GBs, particularly GMK ones

GMK often takes up to a week to even reply to emails. I've had it take nearly two in at least one instance in the past.
Start stressing if it overshoots the production date, not a week after invoicing.

Please don't say me that now on you guys will ask for an update every week. The only update you will have might be the "paid order to GMK" which might be even 2 weeks after GB ends, GMK/Uniqey is not really fast on answers, maybe the color sample caps if they receive them and the sorting/inspection from GMK if they actually post a picture on socials (thing they are doing it recently).
Otherwise the only update you should expect is "sets arrived" after 3 months or so, nothing more.

Great, I was really only wondering if we reached enough invoices paid to meet the MOQ. Someone stated earlier or from another GB that yes, you can meet MOQ, but the payments do not reach it, so then technically, you do not reach MOQ.

However, while I thought these colors would be a good match, I seem to have missed the mark. Due to this and lack of proper photography equipment, I'm going to keep pictures private, so you guys don't have to freak out that the set won't live up to renders.
So unfortunately, it looks like we'll need another round of samples, but the exciting thing is that we're making progress! I met with a friend who works with colors a lot more than myself and I think we found pantones that will leave us much closer to the vision of this set. I just sent an email to GMK and we'll see how things go from here!

They were kind enough to lend me a Pantone swatch book to use during this part of the process, so I'm confident in their ability to use Pantone. While the last batch of colors were off-base for use with the set, the matching in reference to the colors I had selected was quite on point.
Honestly if there are any designers out there who are doing what I did and trying to start with HEX (which I had understood GMK were able to work with, but not ideal), just go ahead and try to figure out access to a Pantone book, it definitely simplifies things. :))

Hmm, from the renders I was expecting a slightly darker purple for the alphas, but I still think it looks good. The cyan I was however expecting to be greener, and in that case I'm not sure I like this color as much as I was expecting to.
But it really could be down to lighting. Hard to tell.
The cyan has always been GMK's stock TU2, that's in the info in the OP, there's loads of sets that have used it if you want a better frame of reference!

Glad the samples have come in! Difficult to say what they look like in person, as I have that cyan in GMK Cyan and CMYK mods, and it’s more green and slightly more vibrant in person. The sun decided to pop out for a little bit, and I managed to get a quick pic showing just how much these purples change with lighting. So as far as looking "basically black" it really just depends on one's lighting setups.

Yesh, I’m sure it’s not easy to find the right balance. This is the look I personally fell in love with (darker and a touch more red/pink alphas—usually GMK’s 2-D renders are incorrect, but it looks like in this case the samples and that 2-D render match well):

I'm totally fine with whatever is decided regarding the samples (didn't want my post to be misconstrued - not saying anyone was doing this - just for clarity only). I was just more curious on how the entire process might go and if the samples would possibly delay shipping and what not. I've gathered that GMK can be quite show based on other group buy threads.

Alphas: Perfect, risky color that came out better than renders.
Modifiers: Not that good. Imho too dark and too "blueish", light-dependent yeah but not really close to renders.
Yellow: Alright, good. Better than renders.

I prefer the render alpha colour over the sample. The sample looks pale/ desaturated compare to render.

I'm definitely going to be sending out email updates as they happen. I didn't think sending out pictures in an email was the best way to go. However, I realize that some people do wait for emails from me, rather than checking the GH post, so I apologize to those folks!

A quick FAQ:
Q. Why aren’t you starting packing and shipping immediately?
A. Unfortunately, the packaging and ship date of the sets to me was a complete surprise. I was not able to schedule the appropriate time windows to perform the packing and shipping process. As such, I’ve done my best to shift my schedule to allow for everything to be taken care of as quickly as possible.
Q. When will we get our keysets?
A. I’m committed to shipping all keysets at the exact same time. I’m not going to send anyone’s keyset before anyone elses. You will receive an email with your tracking info as soon as your shipping label is created.
Q. I really don’t see how you didn’t budget time for shipping these keysets. You’ve been running this GB for months, didn’t you already know that they would be coming to you?
A. It’s not that I didn’t know they would be coming, I didn’t know when. I have responsibilties that need to be completed in a relatively short amount of time, and I am pushing to get those done as quickly as I possibly can.
Q. Will these be shipped in a box?
A. Yes, all keysets will be shipped in boxes, unless you are not getting any base sets, in which case they will be shipped in bubble mailers.
Q. Are you going to the DC meetup?
A. Yes I am!
Q. Why do you have time to go to the DC meetup and don’t have time to package and ship my keyset, dummy?
A. I already made plans to go to the DC meetup well before I knew the sets would be arriving. I unfortunately can’t break the plans that I have set up.
Q. If you’re going to the DC meetup, can you just bring mine and you won’t have to ship it?
A. Car space constraints, logistical planning and increase in likelihood of shipping confusion make me averse to offering this option.
Q. Why are you bothering with this FAQ at all? Hurry up and ship these out!

Hello everyone!
The packages have arrived! (https://i.imgur.com/8nijGx7.png) I’m in the process of opening, checking and counting the sets that I have.
Everyone who has an international shipment should have been invoiced already. If you have an international shipment but haven’t received an invoice, please let me know.
I have a few stray transfer requests which will be processed tonight. Sorry to those who are waiting.
Packing and shipping to individual customers will take place as soon as I can get to it.
A quick FAQ:
Q. Why aren’t you starting packing and shipping immediately?
A. Unfortunately, the packaging and ship date of the sets to me was a complete surprise. I was not able to schedule the appropriate time windows to perform the packing and shipping process. As such, I’ve done my best to shift my schedule to allow for everything to be taken care of as quickly as possible.
Q. When will we get our keysets?
A. I’m committed to shipping all keysets at the exact same time. I’m not going to send anyone’s keyset before anyone elses. You will receive an email with your tracking info as soon as your shipping label is created.
Q. I really don’t see how you didn’t budget time for shipping these keysets. You’ve been running this GB for months, didn’t you already know that they would be coming to you?
A. It’s not that I didn’t know they would be coming, I didn’t know when. I have responsibilties that need to be completed in a relatively short amount of time, and I am pushing to get those done as quickly as I possibly can.
Q. Will these be shipped in a box?
A. Yes, all keysets will be shipped in boxes, unless you are not getting any base sets, in which case they will be shipped in bubble mailers.
Q. Are you going to the DC meetup?
A. Yes I am!
Q. Why do you have time to go to the DC meetup and don’t have time to package and ship my keyset, dummy?
A. I already made plans to go to the DC meetup well before I knew the sets would be arriving. I unfortunately can’t break the plans that I have set up.
Q. If you’re going to the DC meetup, can you just bring mine and you won’t have to ship it?
A. Car space constraints, logistical planning and increase in likelihood of shipping confusion make me averse to offering this option.
Q. Why are you bothering with this FAQ at all? Hurry up and ship these out!

The latest hiccup was due to the fact that PayPal has changed their multiorder shipping interface. It no longer takes CSV files, and it only gives the option to bundle the last 30 orders. I had to quickly identify and evaluate alternatives, settling on shippingeasy.com. Everyone should have received their tracking info from noreply@shippingeasy.com. If you did not, please let me know and I can send it out to you directly.
Thanks for everyone's patience here. For anyone who cares, here's a bit more detail about the last leg of this GB:
- I was expecting to discuss shipping and logistics when the sets were completed, but that didn't take place for whatever reason. This meant that I had to work quickly to get my staging area set up, set up time to perform QC and packing.
- I serve as the Technical Director and Lead Engineer for a company that produces solutions for mentoring and professional development. We recently signed a important contract with a local community college to build a mentoring suite for their students. Every extra minute I'm not working on getting GMK Taro ready, I'm working on this.
- I'm not going to deny that I need to devote time to my personal life. The problem is that without proper warning, I couldn't make the room in my schedule. Weekends were booked as I figured I would know ahead of time when the sets were completed, and I could start carving out time.
None of these are excuses. They are reasons for the situation as it is. For those of you who were extremely inconvenienced, I never meant for you to be put out by the shipping factor. I apologize for the wait, and for not providing more updates.

They look friggin' fantastic in just normal light, but the best part is that in bright sunlight at the right angle the dark purple mods positively GLOW with this amazing radioactive violetness.

First Class Package mail of this size would normally be tracked just in the same way it is tracked for Priority Mail Int'l.
It's likely that the post is just waiting for a scan closer to its final location -- this has been a change in recent months, and the USPS does not show each and every scan on the way anymore.

They are the standard red-purple color, not pink-magenta or blue-purple ("UV") in hue. Sometimes they are sold as "pink" on eBay, but it's the common "purple" LED color.

Search eBay or Aliexpress or whatever is the equivalent for "1.8mm clear pink LED" (it's not actually pink, but it's often labeled as "pink" nowadays to distinguish from "UV purple") or "1.8mm clear purple LED".
