They are just like the original cherry doubleshots, GMK bought cherry's equipment etc.

I've been strongly considering getting the base set + color pack. Does anyone know if I would have any issues putting that on the Duck Viper second configuration with the small shift key on the right? Granted that's hoping the duck interest check turns into a group buy as well.

Great, thanks for the quick response. I was planning to use the 1x key for fn layer. I wasn't entirely sure the shift would be 1.5x though.

We just finished a GMK space bar group buy here on GH:

GMK 6.25u space bars have four stems and fit Cherry and Filco, but not those Leopolds.

Leopold has what like 3 different stem spacing on their spacebar on various models, none of which are standard to anything else. As usual I simply recommend to have your Leopold plate modified to use standard stabilizer so this problem is resolved permanently.

There are a few groupbuys I'm in and 2/4 of them have the universal spacebar. The Toxic GB and Round 5 - Honey Sphericals do have them but The Granite GB and the PBT B on B that you're running does not (no complaints just saying).

Anyway with the new Leopold it's less of a lost cause that's why I asked, I wouldn't think to mod this board for that as I have 4 different colors and 6 different spacebars to choose from anyhow.

I don't believe SP 'universal' spacebar works on Leopold either unless something changed recently. Last time I know it only have the 2 outside pairs and the 2 different positions for the switch in center. GMK 6.25 spacebar is same.

GMK space bars (from the recent buy) have but one pair of outer stems, and the distance center to center between them is 100 mm, like on a Filco or a Cherry MX-3000.

SP space bars and EK space bars have an additional second pair, with a distance center to center of 80 mm from each other, like on an FC200.

There were Leopold space bars with a distance of 85 mm, so for these keyboards neither will fit.

I have a GMK spacebar on my 700R right now. I just put blue tack/poster putty on the stabilizers and then sat the center stem on the switch. Works fine with only a slight difference inf eel.

My budget is already over limit, but I think this is a GB I just can't pass by. The original Cherry DS key caps I have are the ones I feel better so far. even if they are shiny the grip is even better. I have some weeks to make my mind.

Ivan might just inform everyone that needs the odd set that it won't go into production and maybe will leave it up to the discretion of odd users whether or not they still want to participate.

Basically, when the deadline comes around I will look to see how close options are to MOQ. At that time I may decide 1 time extension may help if it is very close to making the amount, or possibly just take advantage of the moq shortfall pledges if there is enough assistance from that.
As far as other forums go, I am unaware of any others where info about this buy may be posted that I didn't post myself either here, on DT or bit-tech. Please do feel free to help spread the word around to any others that may be interested. It is open to anyone all around the world.

I am getting the base kit already. The only keys I wish I could get would be the dark color for the [ | \ ] key and the [ ~ ` ] key.

I am guessing these are not available due to the historic mold setup...

Yeah I hate having a blank mod. Looks "cheap" or incomplete to me. But he can't make everyone happy so I understand.

I'd prefer the symmetric look as well, but this is a neverending debate. Technically those keys are alphas and therefore should have the alpha color...

As far as I know this has nothing to do with mold setups. It's just a little more expensive to offer 2 extra keys and Ivan want's to keep the price as low as possible.

Yes, well basically I just made the colorscheme same as the original... there is nothing more to that decision. It's impossible to please every buyer... but I tried to come up with the best compromises I think in most cases on key selection. It's not going to change for this buy. I think changing things midway can create other problems and confusion which I don't want. Next time there is an IC is when you should bring up these topics.
