KeypressGraphics.com, keycap art for mech keyboards.
« on: Tue, 19 January 2016, 06:47:14 »

G'day keycap enthusiasts! :)

Just wanted to let you know about the website used to display and sell my keycap art, www.keypressgraphics.com

The store features hand-casted & 3D-printed keycaps from a range of makers, sold by fixed price and auction. I generally add a new batch of keycaps every few weeks, and accept commissions if you'd like one of your keycaps painted. You can subscribe to the mailing list at the bottom of the site to receive an email notice whenever new keycaps are added to the store.

Thanks for reading and taking an interest in my work, and I'm looking forward to hearing your impressions.  :thumb:

I would hope that they have a clear coat or something to prevent that.

Check out his FAQ. He uses multiple clear coats to protect them.

If it's the same guy, then the caps definitely have a coat on them. Got one of his caps and it's marvelous.

I don't see why not romevi, there should be enough room on the top face of a keycap if I cropped her face tightly.

Great to hear you like it Glenmael! :)

Tasker has a bunch of really nice designs at his store and slowly but surely I'm getting around to painting most of them. I'd also love to paint more hand-craft resin keycaps in future but as you probably know they can sometimes be pretty hard to acquire and I don't have much appetite for lotteries, draws and the like. Shapeways is great because you just pick the design you want and there's a never a question over availability.

Prices have now been discounted across the board. :)

Also guys please be aware I offer flat rate shipping, so the shipping fee to the USA will be the same for 1 keycap, 2, 5 or even 10.

I used siteground back in college and it was nice then because I could use it free as a student, but there are a lot of hosts out there that are much more customer oriented, I think very little of their support at siteground.  Maybe they have improved since I used them, I see now that they are much more highly rated than before but at the time I used them (3 or so years ago) they were kind of hated by everyone that I knew. My go to has always been bluehost, but another really good one is asmallorange.  Both have been reliable and stable and have been very good with support when I've needed it.

Cheers for letting me know your views drpatrickbateman, much appreciated. :)

Siteground has been a bit slower than I would've liked which has made me toy with the idea of one day moving to a faster host. Its funny that you mention support though because that's one area where I haven't been able to fault them. I've put in somewhere close to 10 tickets since building my site and every one has been answered within the space of 10 minutes, often closer to 2 or 3. Genuinely helpful answers too, not rushed canned responses.

I didn't shop around much before choosing them (mostly on the basis of popularity) so it could well be there are better alternatives out there I'm not aware of. I'm glad to hear you've been impressed with Bluehost & Asmallorange, I will give them a look if I decide to make a switch.

Yeah after doing more research it seems their customer support has taken a massive 180 from when I used them.  I'm glad to hear it, I did not have good experiences with them at the time.
