- Raw Finish

Feedback
If there are other features you would like to see, please leave your feedback below and I will see if I can integrate them for the production model.
Your feedback is highly appreciated!

Thank you everyone for your feedback!
These are now available for pre-order.
While i'll continue to try keep them in stock, the reality is I can only produce a couple each day.
Units provided on FCFS basis.
As stated previously, they are approx 40 USD.
Blocks fall just under 500g so slow shipping should be around 15 USD.

Looks really good and a great implementation for the jig. Will I ever use is? Probably not but that’s not gonna stop it from being a permanent fixture on my desk.
Keep up the innovation Ant and I look forward to seeing what else you come up with in the future.

Sign me up, I hate rattly stabs.
-
Absolutely interested - sign me up! If it's a helpful tool I'd be happy to make a video about it.
-
I could see this occupying a spot on my desk.
Shipping from Aus to US might kill it for me, but I'm interested.
-
Will it be raw alu or are there finishing options?
-
Interesting Idea
-
Good idea and glwic
-
I've added some fillets of different raduis to the inside corners so you can bend the wire more easily if required.

Looks pretty good

sign me up as well

Looks good. Would this be available for sale internationally, such as the UK, or would the shipping cost be too high?
-
It'll be available internationally.
The weight is 460g so it should fall under a 500g satchel/package for delivery.
-
do you have any set date for GB or sale date ?
-
this is a must buy, raw alu never fails
-
Sorry if question is stupid. But will this warp due to heat and humidity?
-
It's a 20mm thick block of aluminium - Its highly unlikely it'll warp unless you're in an oven!
I'll start pre-orders next week.
-
sweet how will the preorders take place, thru vendor or personal sale?
-
A big chunk of aluminum is sexy. I wonder if there is anything you could put on the back to make it even more useful. Maybe a metric ruler? Don't know if that would be very useful... but something along those lines.

I'm a vendor based in Australia so i'll start it through here. Postage costs should be under $20 USD to the states.
-
any timeline on the preorder?
-
Just sorting out the listing now - It'll be up later this week.
-
This is interesting. Not sure if I’d use it but I’d probably buy one anyways.

Nice, thank you for the insights!

might as well incorporate a switch opener somewhere (bottom or side for cleaner look?)
cool project!

I assume it's too late for this, but an integrated switch opener in the underside or something is a good idea if it's doable.

Perhaps adding mx stem holes to put stems in upside down for lubing would be useful.

This is actually harder than it looks - small end mills require high speed milling machines (Which I can't do!).
I'll look to see if there's enough depth to put a switch opener in the next revision.

The made-to-order feel of this really shows your passion! Personally, I'll stick with my pair of pliers, but this is a very attractive solution to the wire tuning problem. Kudos, mate!
-
Big thanks to those who have ordered - Stock ordered - We'll be getting the first batch out ASAP.
Cheers.

This should include a drill bit to round of the ends. But it's nice. I like it.
-
Batch one nearly complete. Orders will start going out the door tomorrow - Thanks for the support. I'll move this to a Pre-order thread for updates as this is no longer an IC.
