MW Commute
Do you find yourself on the road as the sun rises, or as it sets? Inspired by the purple of the sky during the daily commute, MW Commute plays with the hues of both sides of the sun.

There is 0 MOQ on the 40s base. Once the TKL base hits a 200 MOQ, all other keycap kits will be made. We've guaranteed MOQ on all keycap and deskmat kits, as well.

You can checkout bolsa supply discord on their key caps channel. Most arennot truly noticeable unless you are looking for defects, but you will see mainly some pics with misaligned E and F and crooked legend with also a rare case on which one keycap came in the wrong profile. The latest update is that MW will be redoing the set to fix the issues.

Hello everyone,

I apologize as I have neglected the GH thread. I'm sending out most of the updates in acitrin's Discord server (link in the main post). Please also stay tuned to the MilkyWay server as updates are also posted there.
The current status of the set is as follows:

Switches have been shipped out.

I have received the Highway and City deskmat prototypes and am adjusting them for a second and hopefully final round before production.*

Keycap colour samples are currently being colourmatched; we are currently waiting for the second round to arrive and get confirmation. Highly likely that this will be the final round for these as we have given the manufacturer numbers for more precise matching.

Knobs should be shipping out.

*Traincar deskmat is also present, but is going to InputUniverse for checking as they are the designer. Chances are if my deskmats need alterations (mainly oversaturated pink), it will too.

I do not have data as to which quarter of the year the keycaps will be shipping out to the vendors, but I will update when the information is available. Thank you for your patience.

Not that the GB runners would have more information, but figured I'd ask anyway: what assurance, if any, do we have that this set either won't have the issues Heresy and ~~Half-Blade~~ Demon Girl have been reporting, or that the vendors will make things right if our sets do have issues?

GL, you should more worry about color matching first, looked at another set ran by this designer, DSS Carpinteria, the blue alphas were way off, totally different from the renders. There were lots of complaints if you could access the designer's discord.

Huh, the few images I've seen didn't look too bad, but ig irl caps were different.

You can find images in the MW Discord, and I think a participant made a post about it on Reddit. Horrible warping, scratched up caps, and some funky colors. Something about MW using a different material blend as well. Nowhere near what we were lead to believe in terms of quality. Apparently they'll be re-manufacturing the caps in both sets, but no word on if they're fixing materials & QC for other sets in the queue (read: Commute).

I'm personally just so tired of waiting on GBs that have no accountability in terms of lead times and end product (color matching, overall quality of caps, alignment, shipping from vendor to customers, etc.), and will be seeing if I can pull out of some of them. Still on the fence about this set; I guess I'll see how the replacements come out & how MW proceeds from here.

Hello everyone.

Color matching is in its final stage. To provide a summary, I am now in charge of the samples and Swishy (MW's new representative) has contacted me to fast track the process. Samples have been received yesterday, and today we are sending the final feedback document to MW.

Alphas are good.
Modifiers and accents need one last round-- Swishy and I are matching them to the renders.

I will put an update the moment I receive the last batch, as well as a photo of the final colors. For now, this is what I am satisfied with providing:

MW Commute is now in production. MW's lead time is one month, though I would place the safe estimate to be early September for the QC/packing/shipping process to start.

As stated in the Milkyway discord server announcements, following the events of Mechs&Co, all sets that would have gone to M&C will be put up for sale on the Milkyway website (mwkeys.com) when it's ready, unless another vendor is willing to get the orders and is able to get the shipment details from M&C which, as of right now, seems unlikely.
