Do you know where I can buy ALUMINUM RACE CASE except imsto? Let me know, plz.
This case is ONLY alu-case for Race at this very moment.
I'm aware of that. I may worded my post too inaccurate, sry.
I meant, if you truly want it to be perfect, make it yourself. Designing the case in CAD (or whatever is required for a CNC maschine), find a place which CNCs for you, and let it get anodized. All done in specific instructions by you. This way I hardly believe you will get a imperfect case.
But moneywise it's another dimension ;)

But we just blabla around now. Back to topic!

Neat photos, assemble those badboys and take more pics!

I have the same question but for a Poker. I looked on the Taobao page but couldn't find anything either.

My signature hasn't changed since 2012. I should really update it.

got mine (Melbourne) this morning and it's perfect except for a pin head size blemish on the outside of the base.
Round 3 I expect to see the anodizing done in a zero gravity chamber.

Joking of course, it's perfect imsto. and the packaging was off the hook

Thanks heaps :)

I got my two trays this week. The gunmetal is flawless on the parts that are showing. The silver has dark scratches on the top lip of both right and left of the tray. I'll take a picture if I find time.

Then you got more lucky than me.
I also have scratches on the inside which doesn't bother me very much.
But there is a big one on the front wall :/

Apart from that, lovely case, but that scratch is annoying...

The scratches on my silver case is on the top so you always see them. Not sure if that's being more lucky =). My gun metal case is sexy though. The silver is going into my poker with case and keycaps giveaway so it doesn't really matter to me :))

My red Poker case is flawless. Absolute perfection. The blue case has a few scratches from the anodizing process on the left side interior wall, extending to the top of the case. You can just see them on top of the left wall in the photo below. Does not detract from the appeal of the case at all, for me.

Well, if they are on the top on those thin walls, then yes, you are definitely more lucky than I am. I don't mind those scratches, my case has a few of them, though :/

What annoys me is this scratch:

Has anyone else noticed the seal of the anodizing process isn't quite finished -- meaning after anodizing and dyeing it, there's a step in which you have to seal the metal's pores for it to 'lock' it in properly and when not sealed properly if you look extremely closely you can see tiny little pores in the metal.

As for scratches or marks mines immaculate and looks very smooth/nice. Sorry to see that guys.

Is that the difference between "hard" anodized and "soft" anodized? I'm not sure what those terms mean.

Nope. Properly sealed anodized aluminum closes off the pores, locks the dye in and further protects the material from corrosion, and absorbing; dirt, grime etc. I've just finished sealing it using the boiling water method and lightly rubbed in some WD40 to finish it off. Its now better than ever. Very happy with the finish.

Here's an extremely brief explanation; Googling it yields several results
http://www.ehow.com/info_8759480_sealing-methods-aluminum-anodizing.html

I personally boiled it for roughly 40-50 minutes on top of (I'm presuming) some previous sealing where it was manufactured.
