Hello everyone, this is the first time that I have cooperated with enjoypbt to design keycaps. Its call
"KON MOMO". I will keep updating, thanks~ :thumb:

If you are interested with "KON MOMO" keycaps, please take 1 minute to fill.https://forms.gle/Tdsr95oV1mfdMsqR6

Render
242503-1242505-2
241424-3241432-4
241426-5241430-6
239884-7239886-8
239888-9239890-10

Layout
245830-11

Specs
  • Thermal Sublimation, Injection molding (spacebar)
  • PBT keycaps
  • WS1, 1915C, 2766C

Sample
245828-12
Before production, the color difference value of the two processes will be adjusted to smaller, and a new full set of proofing will be carried out.

Update
  • 2020-06-27: GB is expected to run in kbdfans on July 10 :thumb:
  • 2020-06-19: Enter icon adjusted.
  • 2020-06-18: After 3 rounds of proofing, because the spacebar key effect of penta thermal sublimation is not ideal, the spacebar key will adopt direct injection molding instead of penta thermal sublimation process.
  • 2020-05-18: I have updated the photo of the sample on https://www.instagram.com/yorkchan3/, but there are still some problems that need to be improved. After the improvement, it will be run GB on kbdfans :thumb:
  • 2020-05-14: Added R4 "End" & some icon key.
  • 2020-04-18: Adaptation of "XiKii 1800mini"set.
  • 2020-04-18: Due to some people's doubts about the name, the package was renamed 'KON·MOMO'.
  • 2020-04-18: Submitted to Epbt for proofing.
  • 2020-04-16: Add IC from.
  • 2020-04-15: Mix Base & Extension kits. The TAB key to fine tune.

Q/A
  • About the MOQ of small kit: Since I have a very friendly relationship with Epbt, all kit will not have MOQ :thumb:
  • Merge small color addons: Due to the high cost of five surface thermal sublimation, a lot of small kit is split out, please purchase as required.

I like this a lot. I think you should combine the base and extension kit though, I don't see how anyone could get just base and not extension.

edit: I'm really confused by this kitting...is this all one kit? Keep in mind that ePBT child kits have MOQ 100, so having small kits with like 2 6u spacebars isn't gonna hit MOQ

Not really fond of the arrows, have you considered making them standard legends, but with the top and line part being different colours?

Wow, I like this a lot. Very clean look, but still a little playful with the muted colors. If I had to change anything I'd take another look at some of the icon caps. For most of them you used blue as the primary color and pink as the accent. But then for some it seems to be the other way around, for example tab, page up, page down, home and end.
Honestly it's a very minor complaint, just something I noticed.

Also I wish the arrow keys were also dual color.

Yeah what a lot of others said, rework/change the kitting. It does look very promising and nice tho, keep it up  :thumb:
maybe text mods for bottom row (fn, alt, ctrl) and combining kits?

I'll consider your suggestion and save the price. At present, the price difference between combine and non-combine is about $10.

There is no need to worry too much about child kits MOQ, and I have been closely associated with enjoypbt. :thumb:

hey York  I really love the keycap you're designing. I'm currently in the process of making a custom keyboard called Cyberboard that I think would look amazing on your keycap sets.
I wondered if there was any chance we can get some renders made up on it? I'll leave a link to the set so you can see what you think. Cheers!  https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=105222

Would also like to see the arrow keys as standard legends and extension kit included in the base kit.

And to confirm, are these tripleshot or printed?

I'll consider your suggestion.

All use thermal sublimation process except the space bar. The space bar is waiting for the plastic sample, if not ideal will be used sublimation process .

Nice ideas for the icon mods!

You might want to move the R1 PgDn and End keys to the numpad kit, as they are only used on layouts that have numpads.

TKL have that key and of course don't have any numpad..

R1 stands for row 1. TKLs have R2 PgDn and End, not R1. No layout smaller than 1800/CP uses those keys.

Interesting set.  I kind of like the new modifier designs. However, I don't understand the Japanese influence.  “黛粉” is not Japanese, as far as I can tell.  I did find a word with the kanji the other way around: 粉黛 (funtai)

https://www.weblio.jp/content/%E7%B2%89%E9%BB%9B

But this is an old word that means two types of very old makeup. Like, the example in the above definition refers to a book written in the late 1300's. So I doubt this is what you meant.

The meaning of this word is not Japanese but Chinese characters. It refers to dark blue and peach pink. No special meaning. LOL ;D

The first impression is really good but like the others, the arrows are not my first choice.
I have to second this. Not a fan of the arrows as they are. I mean normal arrows work, that's why they are normal.

Could you please provide the keyboard layout for my reference?

This is how a Colevrak+ kit usually looks like. It accommodates multiple layouts including Dvorak and Colemak. The two rows of keys at the bottom (HUNTA) come as plain and homing.

I too would love to see a Colevrak+ kit offered for this set.

LOL ;D
so why's this have hiragana sublegends then?

hey York  I really love the keycap you're designing.

They had to dyesub it twice to get it dark enough. And because of that the legends were "stamped" twice and offset. Some came out ok. Some less so. It was enough of a pain that the new kuro/shiro is skipping black mods altogether.

I like this set a lot! I think combining the multiple spacebar kits into a single larger spacebars kit would be better for MOQ purposes. Same goes for the color add-on kits. Arrows are fine, although I do prefer normal arrows and I think the accent arrows should go with the base kit or with the color add-on kits rather than their own separate kit. I like the overall look of everything else though.

There is no way to solve this problem, because the five sided heat sublimated plastic cannot be added with shading powder.

So this time, I'll try to make the space bar by injecting plastic directly.

The standard nav column arrangement for 65% and 75% is (R1..R4) Home, Page Up, Page Down, End. So, yeah, R4 End is quite important to have.

This. That column arrangement has become kinda the de facto standard for 65% and 75% boards.
If you look at any recent IC/GB you will notice those keys are always included.

It seems that KBDFans now declares the actual value of the product on their shipments, so customs is going to be a pain in the ass in some countries.

Is there any chance of this launching with an actual EU proxy?

I know the GB says its slotted to start on July 10th, but I believe it's already the 10th in CN.

Odd, my friend got a similar e-mail saying he could purchase another PBT keycap set and he's able to after logging in. If we can't do that with this set and have to wait until the start of the GB, why did KBD send an e-mail stating:

"Please click the button below to return to our store. Once there, please click the "Sign In" link, enter your account details, and then you will be able to purchase the [IC]EPBT KON MOMO Keycase set by clicking the "Add To Cart" button!"

Is this purely available through KBDFans? I saw candykeys posted it on Instagram, but it’s not for sale there

Looks like there's also a Canadian vendor: DeskHero.  DH lists CandyKeys as the European vendor, but as you say it's not on CK's website.  Perhaps CK will list it soon?

Also, for those wondering,

ePBT 紺桃KON MOMO's GB thread is open!

Is there a minimum order for this keyset to go into production? KBDFans doesn't provide that information on their website.

I'm sorry, because the GB thread is opened in addition, I just see now, if you need to buy , please pay attention to KBDFANS website, after the production is completed, there will be a small amount of spot supplement. :thumb:

You can't find them aftermarket because they haven't finished production and shipped yet ;). There's a chance for extras after the gb ships. Kuro Shiro took about 4 months, so hopefully these won't take long to produce.

KBDFans restocked it but the kitting is absolutely stupid.
