Vintage IBM 1389262 Wired Clicky Keyboard Model M

The plate's dirty (or just dusty?), but judging from the rest (particularly the keys and cord) this hasn't seen much use. It has the cool blue sub-legended Cmd keys, stepped modifiers, and 2-stage risers—all features not seen in later M's. If you can't afford an F-122, this is certainly the next-best thing.

I haven't seen one of these with a straight plug, only the 90 degree ones on first generation Ms.

A complete set of command keys with blue sub-legends is a big plus.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

I'm pretty sure this was from our inventory at work.  I say this, because I have the missing key caps in a bag over at the other office.   I held out hopes the director would come through and get them to me (he said he would).

Maybe I'm missing something myself (my wife would agree), but I don't see any missing caps on this board. There are several blank caps, where functions weren't used on this particular terminal—could that be what you're noticing?

Keys with missing caps are noticeably shorter than others, and there's usually a visible gap around them. Blank caps are the same height as keys with printed caps, with no extra gap. Example:

You are correct.  I realized some time after I posted that they were just blank caps.   :-[

Came here to say I grabbed this board, wanted a 122 key for awhile just as a collection standpoint alone. Have a converter enroute as well and hoping it functions as the condition reflects, my work place will love the sheer size and sound coming from my office.

Welcome to Geekhack!

As long as you have a large desk and fairly tolerant (or deaf) co-workers, you'll be fine.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Thank you :) happy to be here!
The desk isn't an issue, We're paramedics so typing reports at 3am on buckling springs should keep us awake and alert!

Congrats, dude! Enjoying the open-mouthed stares of passers-by is one of the best reasons to use a 122. It can also make you look like you're doing particularly important, complicated work.  :?)

Please post a photo for us when you get it and get set up!

Leaving for work tomorrow morning for the month, the m122 arrived this evening and I've been busy disassembling everything. Top and bottom cases/keys and caps all bathed in denture tabs, springs removed and inspected, everything is in top shape aside from missing rivets! Will order replacement feet and screw mod when I get back home :) hopefully the converter arrives then as well.

Nice, man! So does this really have a standard AT connector, making it PS/2-compatible with a simple adapter? That is rare for a 122-key board... I'm starting to wish I'd bought it myself.  :?)

Be sure to show us some pix once you have it back together!

240 degree 5 pin connector, as far as I know my only options were pre-built converter or build a teensy. I have a hard time comprehending the coding and flashing aspect so... pre-built it is!
