I finally got the correct profile Delete, End, PgDn, and numpad minus keys as well as a original Cherry right shift.  I have my sister's garage saling to thank for this.  Also, thanks to CommunistWitchDr, I have a stepped caps lock.  My bore of a board is now complete... mostly.

Congrats!  As someone who's trying to find those last four elusive keys for my SkiData board (ISO layout, 1x zero key, etc.), I can certainly identify with your feeling of accomplishment!

I thought there was a slight difference in the length of something on a mx white that even if you put a blue spring it is still quieter.

I'll admit that ripster has some good content, but explaining a mx white switch is not one of them. At first when I looked at a mx white, blue, and green, they're all identical in appearance so I though the only difference was the spring. But after I actually tested it, mx whites resonate a little differently than mx blues. The material is different. The lube that is already on the the metal leaf and the two two legs sticking out probably helps to soften the click, but when I wipe it off, it still sounds different than blues. The little plastic leg sticking out is identical, they're not longer like how ripster reasoned it. And the way he explained how the clicking works is total rubbish as well. It's from the sliding part hitting the bottom, not spring up to hit the top stem half.

When I had them apart, it seemed to me there is less movement allowed on the jumping bean on the white switch, so it have less of a drop make a softer click? Maybe I have imagined...

I have both Whites and Blues on the SkiData board, and they feel completely different.  The Whites are clicky, but it's a much more muted <click>, as opposed to the much snappier <CLICK> from the Blues.  Nor do the Whites feel like clicky Greens, the CM board I have is a manly-man keyboard, quite a bit stronger than the Whites. 

All subjective data points, of course!

If so, then he also painted in the eyes. It was the eyes that made me think that these are originals (if only painted by GasMask). IDK...

I forgot i even bought this albino GasMask cap, i must have been drunk because i don't know the logic that would allow me to buy such a silly thing (actually... ). apparently it was sitting in my kitchen counter unopened for a week; my wife never told me i got it.

i guess its not bad but i need to find a better home for i, it doesn't fit into anything i have set up right now, its like really white; like my ****ty camera phone doesn't capture just how white this thing is. SO DAMN WHITE

This was over a couple days; and please excuse the crappy phone pics.

 I came across three of these Cherry keyboards at work (rubber dome) and robbed the plastic sticker/badge that went over the Lenovo logo that was printed on them (no idea why they were re branded, the circle is where they were)



Then put them on my Roswell



Then thursday I got my function set in from Qwerkeys

Thick'ish plastic. You can kind of tell if you look close at the pics of them.

Thick enough to remove from the other boards and put on mine and not damage them at all.

We got three boards in to pair with some docking stations for some tablets.
Very crappy boards, one is bowed, it wont sit even. I ended up giving out some Dell keyboards with those tablets instead and kept the Cherrys for the shop.

Sure those are domes? Seeing that silvery plate between the keys seems like it would be MY switch which indeed suck but keycaps are MX compatible.

well i just got finished applying stickers and lubing my ergodox reds and i have to say holy **** that took WAY TOO MUCH TIME, the ****ing sun came up after i finished this it took longer to lube and sticker than it took to actually build the ergodox, i really have respect for you guys who have done this to multiple boards,

it is so worth it though, lubed reds is amazing, ****ing amazing i tell you




i also added a geekhack badge to my ergodox, jdcarpe style

ive done a set kinda like that using a splitting chemical in black and yellow, looks much tighter splits than that but it looks like lightning, pm me your address and ill send you one
