I'm new to the Greens, but really liking them. Perhaps even more than the IBM BS
What to try Alps - where should I start? I like something very heavy.
Thanks,

Alps are somewhat stiff switches, so you'll probably like the weighting. I'd try some whites. Get them clean though, or they will feel like ****!

Couldn't agree with this more. Clean white alps are incredible.

Any brands to consider for eBay searches? Being in Germany there aren’t many options.

White Alps were Alps' main clicky switch for quite a few years. They were used in an extremely wide range of keyboards, and many that could come with them could also come with different switches. You're best off to try a broad search tbh.

Not sure about Europe, but in the U.S. the most common ones are classic beige keyboards without Windows keys and a "big J" AKA "big ass" enter key. As examples, Focus FK series and Chicony 5161 or 5181 can have white Alps.

If you can score one, the Northgate Omnikey series had insane build quality.
