Ahh, yeah I totally get that. Cables above a certain price point won't get you any better sound quality. Just grab the cheapest XLR balanced gold-plated cables you can find and they will preform just as well as some fancy $600 audiophile cable.

We used to sign up for a new SPG Amex every year, get the 30k signup bonus, and go to Le Meridien Khao Lak near Phuket for 10 days, free, every winter. Back then it was only 2-3k/night. Love those SPG points!!
