Not if they're been touched by those freaks in green ...
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I know... ips 2560x1440 27" redonkulous. The only bad thing about it is now I need a 4GB gtx670 so I can ultra all my games into the foreseeable future.

IMO 27" is too big to me a monitor and too small to be a TV. Then again I sit relatively close to my desk so a 24" is just perfect for me. Plus my single GTX 570 runs all the games I have on with decent frames per second. Fancy graphics are nice but I'd rather play on low and get a nice smooth frame rate.

Plus ARMA 2 rapes my card if I go anything above medium.

I went 27" as I also wanted to get rid of my 32" TV without loosing too much size and not having to pay a small fortune for a 30" ips monitor. I only paid $300 for my shimian and it was money well spent for sure. I only have a 560ti, and while it seems to be ok on most games it only have 1GB of vram and I was spotting some more pop in than before on some newer games I tested out. I was thinking about upgrading gpu before I got this monitor anyway. If it comes to playable fps or eye candy, of course I will turn some of it down or off as needed. Though if I can have both... why the hell not?

The thing I was most concerned about was how bad SD movies would look full screened on such a high res, but it doesn't seem to be that bad at all. I have a lot of films that seem to have been ignored by the blu ray generation thus far. Well... sh*t some of them are even LD transfers for that matter.

If I saw that IRL I'd probably run screaming

relax, it's me. i can high five three people simultaneously!
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.
