Yep, I don't close Spy after a sale anymore. Constantly takes up 1/4 of my screen which is not so cool considering I'm on a 2010 macbook with the lowest res screen ever.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Sounds like you need to buy a second monitor for clacks sales.

I do use an external monitor at work but I've worked from home most of this week so I'm couchsurfing.

Well, Hoff has an ultrawide. And one of my monitors is permaspy while I game or do homework. So I'm sure there are more like me.

I don't know if it's curved but it's a 21:9 aspect ratio, it looks perfect and amazing.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

They do say that the Clack futures market is pretty hot these days.

Yeah, but unfortunately some of us (including you guys) just love to have Clacks and don't want to make money off of them.

Its killer. I got offered $400 for one of my Checkkeys, that would have easily paid for a Guac or any other Clack I wanted but I just couldn't pull the trigger. Wound up giving it away when I couldn't trade it.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Always wanted on of those ultrawides, I hate starting at bezels with dual displays.

I really want the new LG one...but I don't want to drop $1300 on it haha

are these the curvy ones?  i want one of those.  i've been using some old 24" dell monitor that i bought nine years ago.  still works fine though.

Yeah I want the Dell curved one, looks so sick. Might have to see if I can salary sacrifice one next financial year.

clacks >> fancy monitors

edit:  hmm those curvy monitors are sexy

Are you talking about price? :p

those monitors will get cheaper.  the clacks will not. :(

Very community spirit :D
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I said it once, and I'll say it again...just when you thought it was safe to go on with your day...

Yep, I don't close Spy after a sale anymore. Constantly takes up 1/4 of my screen which is not so cool considering I'm on a 2010 macbook with the lowest res screen ever.

Sounds like you need to buy a second monitor for clacks sales.

Yup. Worth.

i thought everyone had a second monitor with a perma-spy browser window open.

Well, Hoff has an ultrawide. And one of my monitors is permaspy while I game or do homework. So I'm sure there are more like me.

I have an ultrawide and a second monitor on top of a speaker.

The ultrawide is about 3/4 occupied with my actual Chrome browser I use regularly, 1/4 on the left is Firefox with HoffmanClackster logged in to GH for the sales.  The second monitor has my music player in the background and Spy in the front.   :thumb:

It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.  So 3/4 it is!  :D  This lets me squeeze all sorts of things in the left 1/4 (currently Clack sales, but sometimes movies or spreadsheets).  I can honestly say that the ultra-wide monitor is the single greatest impulse buy I have ever made in my life.  I love this thing.  :D

Haha, some might call it cluttered, but I like 'em there.  :D  I get to look at them all the time now.  And of course there's the pile of other artisans to the right in the photo, but that's more recent - those used to be more organized.  :P

I'm pretty messy but I can't stand clutter around my PC, my work desk is pretty much always spotless. Then again I think that's more to do with sharing a desk, don't want my clutter spilling over onto my desk mates side.

So I've determined by skimming all 30 pages that RNGesus hates first replies. First reply = guaranteed lose. We haven't had a first reply win since we stopped doing first replies win.  :))
I noticed that too. And I was about to say the same holds true for 2nd replies and then I won today.
