Polymer Salon caps, made by fendent

I don't have too many right now but he's been making some awesome blanks and working on sculpted caps, the skull is a prototype of a sculpt he's still adding to.

People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

The encap skulls are awesome!

Here's my Quinntescence version, the color isn't too accurate but the skull is dark purple, the eye is bright pink, and the encap is a similar purple to yours.

dude i love caps that use a regular cap as their base shape (eg a clack skull, keythulu)

first time hearing or seeing any of these but those encapsulated skulls are great for not disturbing the profile of the whole keyboard. so sick

I completely agree, Keythulhu V1s are one of my favorite artisans partially due to the profile.

The encap skulls almost hide when you put them on a board.

The lighter 6 pearlescent purple caps (one is a bit hidden) are Shadowcaps
Top right esc and top left fn are MF
The control, esc to the left of the skull, and the fn below said esc are from Booper
The esc above the skull and the remaining 3 caps are from Fendent

Sorry if that's a bit confusing but I don't have time to number them in photoshop for a list right now.

IIRC fendent has tried something along those lines for other colorways, he has some cool stuff in the works.

I have a habit of doing the same until I see caps in person but I wouldn't overlook fendent. Every cap I have from him is great quality and he puts in a lot of qc and experimenting time to get the caps to look how he wants them. Since I've started talking to him he's gone through at least 4 or 5 different stem designs because they didn't work exactly how he wanted them to from a fitment and production standpoint.

I generally hate all keycaps. Keycaps are for poofs. Real men touchtype on stems. Non-functional artisans are awesome, I use them for the ESC key ... escape is for cowards anyways, real men go frontal assault.

Thanks Joey! I wish I'd have let the foil continue forward under the lens... Bothers me that it's following the edge of the table on the bottom of the shot.  :-[
