For those who think this is Apollo R2, pull them up side-by-side and refresh the memory... they are pretty far off, only thing really in common is being gray / monochrome. I was thinking the same at first :D

You’re right. This is much closer to GMK Modern Dolch, or GMK Rainy Day, with GMK ASCII and GMK Lunar finishing not too far behind.
I think that’s part of the problem here - the set lacks character. It’s two tone with an accent that doesn’t help distinguish. What’s worse is that the two colors are very commonly used - N9 mods are prevalent, and we’ve had tons of 2B sets (close to 428C) in recent years.

Also consider adding the following sets: GMK ASCII, GMK Dolch, GMK Lunar. I’d suggest GMK Modern Dolch too but the colors aren’t publicly available.

Dig the novelties, but at least for the colors that you picked, Pantone 428C and WS2 are MUCH MUCH lighter irl.
Yes I tried to match as close as possible, especially for the color codes at the top, and also added a disclaimer to the renders. I'd say they're not too far off from the actual pantones, at least from my monitors ofc not calibrated but to the closest representation I can provide.

Edit: I'm seeing what appears to a minor spacing issue with the first 7 elements on row 5 of the table on the deskmats. The boxes appear shifted up a small amount.

Oh is it possible to remove like one/ both of the icon thingy on the bottom left and right (especially the right) on the deskmat ? It looks a bit too claustrophobic atm, and having a bit of empty negative space is good! And for the novities, I think most of them are a tad too big, besides the Hg ones.
For the deskmat I chose to go all in and fill the space instead of having empty space, I didn’t want it to be half empty half full, I gues if that makes sense, I also did like the space right next to the focus element because it gives a good space to have cables/macropads that wouldn’t be obstructed by the design, but I do understand where you’re coming from because at first I also wanted to leave it relatively empty. This far it seems like the desk mats are generally liked. I may however make a more minimalist one if that’s something you’re interested in.
For the novelties, I will bring them in a bit but I will have to make sure everything is to GMK standard, but thanks for letting me know!

Seems like red is really popular (just as popular as the white) therefore I will most likely add red accents to base or to an accent kit with both accents depending on what people would be interested to see!

I would also lean to the red alternative, but IMO it is because the white accent is too close in colour to the alphas, and is not immediately visually distinguishable at first glance. In the renders it doesn't look nearly bright enough to be WS2 to me.
Agreed. I also would like to see the red alternative as accent color.

I have a few suggestions:
- Incorporate the Red accent Enter and Esc into the base kit
- Have novelties for the Red accent Enter and Esc (thermometer and the skull)
- Add another R4 1u dark gray novelty (biohazard or skull), so those who have a left side macro column (XT-layout) can have a non-repeating column (or those who prefer an alternative 1u novelty over the Hg chemical symbol)
I guess cost of the kit will have to come into consideration though with the above alterations, and you'd might have to look at removing either white or the dark gray enter/esc potentially. I know the white is your initial concept accent colour for this set, but the red is just way more appealing/striking.
Going to have to cop a deskmat too.

I do have a recommendation for an alteration to the deskmat design:
On the temperature conversion scale, I think the 0/-273 part should be changed to 0/-273.15, and include a line break that shows that there are missing values.

Kits look really good, although the base kit is probably going to end up being on the expensive side. If that does happen, you may want to consider moving the accent arrow keys to the spacebars kit.

You are correct, OP might have meant to update the renders to reflect the normal spacebars as alpha colored, right now they are accent white, which are also in the spacebar kit. I hope this gets changed, once it's adjusted I'll make sure to hop on this GB!

Yes, sorry for the miscommunication on my end, things did get busy, especially during the holidays, and when the group buy went live on KBDFans, however thank you for the support, and patience. I was trying to get all of the vendors in communications on the 21st of December however, I believe KBDFans wasn't able to join, and due to time differences I believe that they started the GB whilst still beliving the date to be the same.
All information is up to date, and will be posting a GB thread soon. Again thank you all for the support and patience with this!

Yea, he just started the groupbuy and mention they were wrong and that he will fix them later. I'm like very skeptical about the communication and the handling of this, I was actually really interested in this set, but kind of put off by all this.

I wish the white arrows and red esc and enter were in the base kit or an accent kit. I don't need or want the space bars or novelties, but would be forced to pay a really high price for just these few accent keys. I will probably have to pass on the whole thing because of that. Many people in the thread asked for the red esc and enter to be added to the base, so not sure why they were added to novelties in the end.
